Maybe rellenong manok or bangus is good for a change. There are some Asian stores that have the frozen boneless bangus. A crab omelet is also a good substitute for meat. Oh, I love all the foods mentioned here. Good luck on your preparations.

You can never go wrong with adobo and pansit. They are the safest Filipino dishes that can suit almost everyone's taste buds.

I suggest Gambas for appetizer. I cooked Gambas yesterday and Tahoma loved it. Only 15-20 minutes for preparation and cooking.

I am still aiming to get that taste of Friday's Gambas.

Add Lumpia to your menu and dinner will be a :star:

Very easy Chinook! here's a recipe i got off the internet: http://pinoycook.net/kinilaw-kilawin-na-tuna/

My best friend usually cut the ginger into small tiny pieces than the ones on this recipe, and sometimes she doesnt use cocnut milk too, and it still is good. depends on the freshness of the fish i think. u guys sure do use loads of vinegar and salt in your food tho no? i think in mostly everything.

Hi Faryan,

Thanks for the recipe. I just printed it...would love to make it this weekend.

Not sure about vinegar, but we usually use cooking oil, garlic & onion to cook our food. I guess these are the basics. I am still learning a lot about cooking. It's good that my husband always loves my cooking experiments. :P

I'm glad to know that you love Filipino food too...I noticed you're from Malaysia. :)

Hi Chinook! I do indeed love some Filipino food, altho I cant help but add more chillies or spice usually (as i am malaysian after all) hehehe.. I lived in Davao City for a couple of years not too long ago, and traveled a bit in Mindanao, so one have to learn to adapt and do fusion stuff to survive when one craves for comfort food from home ;) Just like being here in the US.
