Morning MENA....

Anyone have any POE tips for my hubby? Like going through immigration/customs?? We are looking at flights right now from Amman to JFK, then JFK to Raleigh NC...still trying to find the best option. He went to Royal Jordanian Airlines today to check on a ticket and they told him he could fly out at 10 am on Friday, but when he arrived in New York, he would have to find his own flight to Raleigh. I would rather book the whole thing at once than have him wandering around huge JFK trying to find a flight to NC. Also, anyone have any tips on him calling me when arrives at JFK? I know his cell phone won't work here & I don't want him to have to, again, run around JFK looking for a calling card...etc. I am guessing he can call collect, but I haven't done that ages so I don't even remember how that works.

Any advice would be helpful guys!!

I did see your posts in the other thread. My husband has never had issues going through customs. Just make sure your husband has all of his paperwork with him and has it handy when he arrives. I would try and get him the same airline but switching at JFK isn't impossible and somebody can help him. They did my husband. I would get a prepaid phone card and give him the access number and pin to call you from a payphone. We do this and it works great. Just make sure he understands how to call you when he arrives such as the area code without the country code and such.

Good morning everyone! We had a fun but not too overly active weekend. Saturday we went to a lunch/dinner/swimming party at a friends house. Lots of people and we had a good time. Yesterday sort of a lazy day, got up around 11am, made breakfast, and watched a movie. Had lunch. Then we went to a park on the Potomac, right near Reagan National airport. So we went for a walk, hung out and watched the planes take off! It was really nice, and I think we're going to make a picnic and go to another park tonight. I'm so tired of being stuck indoors and the rain seems to have finally stopped so best to take advantage of that!

MrsAmera, I am with you on being tired of having to stay indoors. Everyone around here has never seen so much consistent rain in all their life. It has been very depressing, the unpredictability and sometimes accuracy of the weather forecast has made it impossible to really do much. Doesn't feel like summer at all yet. I enjoy the low temps but not the humidity.

Wooohooooo....another dancing Monday for me.

Hubby just called & he has booked his ticket!!! He will arrive at 1 am on Saturday!! I can't believe the day has finally come!! Sooooooooo excited!!

Hi everyone. I am washing, hanging clothes out, sweeping the kitchen and the patio, moping them as well. Picking up trash outside from the party we had on the weekend. We celebrated my parents 53rd wedding anniversary and it want great. I will post pics later. Everyone got to know Farid and they all seem to like him though everyone asked him how he spelled his name and then when he s/w anyone they all got closer to hear him repeat what he said to them because of his accent. Oh and my sister in law told me that my mother actually told her that she and my Dad like Farid because he was very helpful and respectful to them and that he seemed to really love me. We had about 70 people at a garden party and towards the end of the party about 10 of us got up and danced disco/soul and rock for about 2 hours straight. My body ached yesterday all day long as well as my feet.

Morning MENA!!

Had a great Fathers day weekend. my twin sis came in town for the last time before her baby boy Rowen will be born. BBQd with family and friends and to top it off, im off work today and tomorrow!! WOOHOO im NEVER off during the week!!

Zaid and I are gonna go get my oil changed, stock up on gerber toddler meals, and go get his haircut, AGAIN! I swear this poor kid is doomed when he gets older. What 13 month old has already had 4 professional haircuts? lol My lil stinker. Im gonna be sure to have it cut VERY short this time. pics to follow of course

Its a hot one here in chicago, of course, the humidity is what makes it bad. Thank god for central AC and AC in the car, if i wasnt for that I would not survive.

the most important thing that comes to my mind is make sure he gets the i-94 back from cbp. it's about $320 to replace it.
