hey guys, my husband is a US citizen and we've been married for a year. We are expecting our interview shortly. Now the thing is that my husband came to my country for 6 days before we got married. At that time we had not really known each other but we had been family friends for ages. so he knew me, but not personally. Anyway so he came to visit my country and i met him the first day of his visit. We really liked each other and spent all of our time together and he proposed the next day only..i was reallyyy sure abt him so i said yes.. Now since he was leaving in less than 3 days we decided to get married the next day...we had a reallyyyy small ceremony at my home, with only our families present(10-15 people). We have pictures of that ceremony.

Aside from wedding pictures, we have a joint bank account, emails, chat logs, cards. We dont have fone bills because we use calling cards. my husband does have a record of the calling cards that he has purchased over these months.

now my interview is gonna be in two three months HOPEFULLY and im really nervous because ive read posts here which say that u need lotssss of wedding pictures and a big ceremony and all that. but we had suchh a small ceremony. I do have pictures of us together at restuarants and all the times that we have hung out, but please guys tell me is that enuf or do i have reasons to worry about my interview?? pleaseee reply!! thanks all

No need to worry , as you have other proofs to show your relationship, joint bank accounts , emails ,etc. ; it is not true that you need to have a big ceremony .

good luck .

Size of wedding ceremony generally should not be a problem ... but did you say you guys met on day 1, he proposed on day 2, and you married on day 3  ??? Since your marriage does not appear to be arranged marriage, how would you explain to the USCIS officer that you met, fell in love, and married in whopping three days.

How many times have your husband been back to see you since you'll wedding? How long has he stayed each time, and where did he stay? This is what the CO will be looking at in conjunction with the startling facts that you'll met and married within a 3 day romance.

There's lots of information here on evidence of a bona fide relationship, so start searching and reading. The best evidence is time spent together. "We don't have...." is not an excuse. Arrange another visit and communicate in ways that can be evidenced.

Your "wedding" is not the issue. The evidence is about your relationship, not a ceremony or a party.

Also, since your interview will occur only about 15 months into your marriage, it will be for a CR1 visa, not an IR1.
