Okay, this isn't a cleaning tip.... but it's a tip! LOL

When trying to open tightly sealed lids on brand new jars, insert the tip of a can opener (the kind that pierces holes in cans) underneath the rim of the lid until you hear the vacuum release. The jar will open easily after that.

Yeah! I just tried it, thanks for the tip! Works so well, I'll never have to struggle again with a stubborn jar

how do you clean burned pots? .........serious burned pots. Long story. but I need to find a way. I've tried scrubbing over and over again. soaked. Used lemon, vinegar, and dryer sheets and whatever i can think of.

oh yeah, is there a way of cleaning pots that were used from camp fires? we went camping and the bottom of my pots are black :( I have scrubbed them and they look fine but I want them perfect and back to how it was before we went camping.

Im a clean freak. Maybe a little OCD.

If you've tried all you have already, frankly, I'd just throw them out! You should be using your old battered pots for camping. Once they've been used for camping, and they're all blackened, don't try and take that stuff off...it's permanent, as it should be. Keep them separate, in bags so that they don't have that black stuff rub off on anything else. They'll never go back to how they were before. Yes...you're a little OCD.

assuming the bottom of the pans are meant to be shiny, i'd recommend a sos pad. it will scratch the pans though.

you might also try oven cleaner on them, but that could damage the finish.

I usually take some hot water and baking soda and boil it on the oven for a couple of minutes, then scrub it with a scouring pad. I find that works.

This isn't really cleaning advice... but it could fall under the cleaning category. I moved my garbage can yesterday and there was 2 big spiders under it! We're talking big fat ones with crawly legs and just ugh. :dead: Any miracle spider repellent out there? Its my first time living with mommy... she usually takes care of these things for me

Or maybe it IS a cleaning issue, and I need to learn how to keep things clean so the spiders stay away?

Spiders aren't like pests, you can clean and clean but they find their ways in through drains and stuff. Be happy its spiders and not other "types" of bugs. :)

I used to work at a place called LUSH and we had an over abundance of something called I LOVE JUICY. It's for oily hair. I found it cuts grease and grim so well, I clean my whole house with it. Can't say I would ever use it on my hair; but diluted, it is the best cleaning stuff ever.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip
