What are the reasons behind a late NOA2?

Hello folks,

I noticed most of the CSC filers and within the range of being approved. But, than there are a few late filers that filed in Dec 08 that just got approved. What are the reasons of being approved later than your fellow filers in your date range. I am just trying to understand why some get approved much later than the rest. Is it due to RFE's or address change? Thanks!

Could be RFEs, I doubt address changes. Could be the adjudicator is slow, had many troublesome cases ahead of you, went on vacation, your background check (name)generates a hit on a watch list and has to be manually checked, etc. etc. Too many possibilites to answer. It is like getting stuck in the "slow line" at the grocery store.

there really is no reason as to why there are delays...and one never finds out!
