If your household will be 2 (you and fiancee) and your annualized income for this year is the same or greater you will be above the requirement.

According to the 2009 Poverty Guidelines, if you're household is only made up of two people, you and youre fiancée, you're more than ok.

Last year is not so important. What about THIS year. Your current income will have a mush greater effect on the decision. If your current income is not sufficient, last year won't help you much.
