Definitely a housekeeper. I love gardening and cooking, and there is generally quite a mess after I prepare a large meal for friends, so I could do without that cleaning!!! And since I am by myself, I pretty much do a daily walk to the grocery store for the items I need for my next few meals. This gives me a chance to get a bit of exercise, walk the dog and decompress from they day all in one!!

That's what I used to do too. I miss that. :( Plus, they sucker you in, here, with all their "buy one get one free" deals. Or even better.... buy one get 2 free. :o They have crazy sales here. Which is a good thing. Except that I end up having way too much food in my fridge and freezer. :bonk:

They have so many buy 1 get 1 free deals! At my local grocer, sometimes it's 5 for $5 so I end up stocking wayyyy too much, I don't have enough cupboards for all the canned goods!

That confused me so much when I first moved here. What do you mean 10-for-$10?! But I don't NEED 10!! I just need one! :bonk: Finally, someone put me out of my misery and told me that they prorate the sale price to the number of items.... that you don't have to buy all 10. I was so relieved.

At Easter they had buy one ham @ $15, get two free. And they were huge-as$ hams, too. I mean, it was the whole back quarter of the pig. What the heck would I do with THREE of them? :o Now for sure I'm not going to buy one because if I just need one and I don't take the other two, now I'm paying the same price for one when I could have had three! It would be alright if they had a big bin or something where you could just give the other two to a homeless shelter or to someone in need. But what the heck? Do people really need that much ham? Why not just sell me one ham for 5 bucks?

Hmm maybe I should start my own business cleaning houses. Seems like a lot of people would hire me.

I really don't mind cleaning at all.

It would be interesting to know how much money could be made cleaning houses!

I charge $25.00 and hour and both places that I clean for say that I am the best they have ever had. When I was away in the USA last year a friend of mine did their cleaning; she has a few other jobs too clean one at $25.00 an hour and then other place $30.00 an hour. One of my clients only had her once, they other place will have her back when I finally get to go to the US. However, she wasn't as meticulious as me but it is hard to find a decent cleaner that doesn't break things or deep cleans. I am usually there to clean 3 - 3.5 hours.

As in anything you get what you pay for :)
