Hi there

I've been reading about how everyone has sent photos of themselves as couples etc, etc, but when we filed our I130 & G325A we just followed the requirements as set by the USCIS. If USCIS requires evidence such as personal photos why don't they request it on their forms? Also, we decided not to file our K3 because CSC seems to be moving along nicely. Dumb question probably, but is there an IR1/CR1 form we have to fill out or is it a blanket name for the number of different forms required. And does USCIS just presume you are going IR1/CR1 if they don't receive any further documentation from you?

Thanks in advance to all who answer

Photos are part of proof of bonafide relationship.. that you have met in person yada yada.

if you sent in your I-130, that's for the CR1/IR1 visa... subsequently, if you send in I129F form then the I129F is for K3.

If you didn't send in your I-129F then all you have is a case for CR1/IR1 visa.

They are absolutely two different petition.

For the I-130, you go through steps in NVC.

For the I-129F the NVC will forward the petition to the US Embassy and you will do several packets there.

For I-130, the beneficiary receives either a 2 yr conditional green card or 10 year GC.

For I129F, this is not the case and you have to adjust status later on (more money)

See the guides for futher details.

There is no requirement to send in photographs with your I-130 petition. What we did do though was to send in two affidavits from people we know..a friend and the wife's daughter to verify that we have a bona fida relationship. I do believe there is no real requirement for that either but they do say that you make submit these to help establish that you do in fact have a normal relationship.

Best Wishes
