I have received RFE from NVC due to expired police certificates. I have submitted new application to apply PC from Australia and Malaysia. I am confused now. Do I need original PC for package 3 and package 4? How many originals do I need to apply? Will NVC return my originals to the US embassy during my interview or do I need to apply for another new one? Someone please help me. It takes a long time to apply for the records and I am tired of waiting. :(

does that mean that I do not need to prepare another original police certificate for the interview since I will be receiving back the original?

No.

if NVC requires a new one then you will have to submit a new one to them.

they will not complete the case and assign you an interview date till you do so and that means you will not have an interview till you do so!!!

police certificates are usually valid for a year.

so find out if its a false RFE or not

if not then definately send them a new one.

I will submit new PC to NVC but i have only applied one copy. Do I need another original for the interview? Sorry if this is confusing. I am wondering do people apply two original PC: one for NVC and one for interview.

Thanks a lot for info.

True L179 is rite.. u need to find out if its false RFE or not? did it say expiry date on ur certificate? if u still has copy of ur certificate then check on it and if its still not expired then call them and inform them about it. this is how u will know if ur RFE is false or not? Good luck

no u don't need another one to apply. one is enough and just take the copy of PCC with u at the time of interview. they will already have ur original at the time of ur interview and they will give u back too..

ok, here is the deal

we got ONE pc issued back in February and submitted it along with our DS230. but it was actually not required by NVC.

when we got our interview letter they said we need to get a new one along with us to interview.

so i called the USEM and they said that its valid for a year and we wont need a new one so not to worry.

if yours has been expired by the time your case has been completed then you need a new one, if not then you wont

your best bet is to check with NVC or with the local embassy

yeah, I think its a true RFE because it was expired in April and the lawyer had it in her hand for long but she didn't submit it until later. A bit upsetting. Thanks a lot for the information. It should be ok then to just submit an original to NVC and keep a photocopy for the interview later.
