Good Moaning

Yesterday was my birthday and I went to my mom's....as we were going out to get a bite to eat, I was closing her garage door....my fingers got stuck in the door panels, I heard a crunch. My mom freed me from the evil door and rushed me to ER there where she lives. I have 2 broken middle fingers.

Oh Nagi - sorry to hear about your accident...Hope you are getting the appropriate meds and will heal in no time...Also, how did we miss your birthday? Wishing you speedy recovery and belated Happy B-day!

Good Morning!

S and S good to see you again. Good Luck with your job search.

Aya, Congratulations on graduating and turning 21! Now you are officially a grown up, right?

Well I hope Terri has a safe trip.

Charles, that picture is neat. It isn't everyone who can display their feet/toes like that.

Nagi, I don't know how I missed it dear, HAPPY BIRTHDAY :dance: and hope you are not having too much pain and your fingers heal quickly (F)

100% I am with you on the rain situation. We have had more than our share this spring and they are still calling for me later this afternoon. Oh yeah that wicked storm they hyped up at the end of my working day yesterday, never reared it's ugly head. Just looked stormy, terribly humid with a little rumbling, but no rain.

Dorothy.... :luv:

Tamara

I know what you mean I don't know how many times our alarm was set off in our 4 floor apt complex.

We are on the 3rd and the sound is dreadful and so deafening.

What a joke the fire dept must think we are . I think out of 5 or 6 times of it being set off, there was actually a real concern when someone was cooking and the smoke set it off.

The personal detectors in our apt itself are so sensitive that if I am cooking or turn on the over they would go off.

I had to disconnect them. They wouldn't shut up!

I know it isn't safe but they are ultra sensitive and in the summer when it gets hot as an oven and cooking :bonk:

Well you can imagine

HEY SARA! :D

Nagi happy birthday and I'm so sorry about your fingers!!!!! Hope they heal soon!!!

I'm once again in limbo with the house. Talked to the bank today and had to send in more paystubs/bank statements and he is going to see if I qualify for a loan modification. Totally different attitude than when I talked to him 3 months ago. I guess making those three payments really made a difference and now he's more willing to work with me. Although I wanted everything to be settled TODAY, I'm glad that we at least have a glimmer of hope again to go on. Just sucks royally being in limbo.

My 13 yr old was selected to go to one of our State Colleges yesterday to talk online to a class from South Africa. She was one of 60 from her school and the South African class had 70 kids. It was strange though. I asked her if she met her penpal (they had been writing since the beginning of the school year) but she said when her peeps stated who their pen pals were the other kids (in S. Africa) didn't stand up and say "that's me!". I guess only a select few had English down well enough to talk so they were the spokespeople for their class. I asked what their favorite foods were and she said her people were too shy to ask when they found out that most of the kids go to that specific school because they give free lunch and it's their one meal per day. I'm grateful that she did this since she definitely has a different attitude towards material things now. Not sure how long it will last though...prolly till the new iphone comes out. :P
