Pim has her interview next Tuesday (Bangkok) at 8 AM. We feel like we've finally turned a corner. She tells me that there is a new consulate...a woman replacing a man. Reports are she seems very nice and patient. Anyone one else having there interviews next week?

Good luck! Please post your review after the interview... hopefully she gets her visa smoothly with no issues :)

We have our interview coming up on on June 29 in Bangkok, so we are paying rapt attention at this point to everyone who is going through the process right now. After a long 2 month intermission they are back to conducting interviews again - there were a handful last week and more queued up to go. You are right - the notorious "old bald guy" has apparently been replaced by the "nice young woman" .... let's hope that things move on well at this point for all of us.

Please join us on the Sawasdee3 thread, that's where the Thai "community" hangs out here on VJ.

Things seem to be moving smoothly there now. Fat bald guy seems to be gone.

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Welcome to the USA!!!

It looks like another member who posts to the Sawasdee 3 thread also has an interview on June 9 @ 8am (NCThai). Your fiancee will have company. If the bald guy truly is gone forever, I think everyone's interviews will be less chaotic in the future.

K1: 01/15/2009 (mailed I-129F) - 06/23/2009 (visa received)

AOS: 08/08/2009 (mailed I-485, I-765, & I-131) - 10/29/2009 (received GC)
