K1 Interview. Possible to be moved after a year?

I am just wondering, is ther a possibiity that we can schedule my interview after a year?im done wth everything except the interview scheduleng..just thinking about going back to work...

can i have my interview in UK or France or Saudi or Spain...?....

U R almost in USA now so? its not the USA which i am after, its being with my loved one...was just wondering about having the interview after a year or minimum of 6 months. coz i know i can go to US with another visa while waiting for the interview for k1.(just as to follow rules of US).

Oct to Nov, that is still early, heheh!! Princess might just let me have my vacation early next year after her mom gets better..oh well... hope she will be better..i'm worried...i know hubby will understand

The K1 interview has to take place in Manila. There is no other way for you to be interviewed elsewhere.

With regards to scheduling a later interview.

Hmmmmm, I would talk to the embassy specifically about this and have it put in an e-mail and in writing. It is also important to note that, once the K1 visa has been issued, you will have a period of time in which you can enter the US on it. I'm not sure if it differs per embassy issuing but the standard time frame is more often than not 6 months. A year is quite a long time to defer your interview for and I have heard of couples successfully deferring for a number of months, but not the sort of time frame you are seeking.

Personally, I would be worried about what could happen to the paperwork in that time (get lost, transferred back to USCIS, how to handle the expiration of the NOA 2)

To re-cap. Once the K1 has been issued by the embassy, you will have 6 months (or embassy specific time frame) to use the K1 visa. This will obviously give you more time.

Hi Ellie and David, thanks so much for making a sensible reply here. I decided to go on the with early sked and get done and over with the interview. About the job..talked to palace personnel and told me i can go back anytime..even after a year! =)

By the way, I like how the US embassy in London looks! It has all the Flags of the different states of the US lined in front of the building! Hope they are done renovating it though. I always pass by it whenever i go to Oxford...which is just walking distance from where we stay n Mayfair! Would be going there this month if i went back to work..but oh well...I lovead miss the summer feel of London. =)
