I just want to share our wonderful news: I received my K-1 visa today!!!! Exactly 1 month and 6 days after NOA2!

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

March 9, 2010 - Received appointment for biometrics - will be on March 18

March 18, 2010 - Biometrics done

March 19, 2010 - Touches on I-485 and I-765

March 25, 2010 - Advance Parole approved..received on April 1 in the mail

March 29, 2010 - I-485 notice date, received on April 4, 2010

May 3, 2010 - EAD approved

May 5, 2010 - Date interview....approved

I never would have believed my journey to happiness would begin with something called an "I-129F"

03/19/09 - I-129F Sent

03/20/09 - NOA1 (rec'd harcopy 3/26/09)

03/24/09 - Check cleared

03/25/09 - Touched

8/12/09 - Touched (4 hours before NOA2 email)

8/12/09 - NOA2 email received

***Received email at noon (Weds)

***USCIS site did update with the status

***Was 113 on Berkeley list; 156 on VJ list

Congratulations.

BUT, I am not happy with the fact that you from a european country person is getting your visa quicker then someone from an asian country. I've had my I129 in for over 6 months now and all i've had is a RFE.

I-129: December'08

NAO1: December'08

RFE: April'09

NAO2-email: July'09

NVC->Embassy: July'09

Interview: september 17

Visa on hand: October 9

Congratulations.

BUT, I am not happy with the fact that you from a european country person is getting your visa quicker then someone from an asian country. I've had my I129 in for over 6 months now and all i've had is a RFE.

It doesn't matter what country you look at....you're gonna find SOMEONE who had to wait an unreasonable amount of time. I'm from Canada and I've seen people wait over a year......I don't think the USCIS cares.

Congrats! Its nice to see some people fly through this process! :D
