Hello everybody:

I am happy to inform that I was sworn in as US citizen around 1:40pm MST Thursday in Boise, Idaho.

Had around 41 other new citizens from 20 different countries. We had a briefing session, Q&A session, pledged our allegiance, got sworn in, watched a welcome speech by President Obama and got our Nat Certificates. Lots of photos ops and finally out in 45 minutes. No time to go SSN office....may be some other time.

In the evening, my wife had prepared an Hawaiian Luau with friends and family. Good food and good conversations....what a day to remember for the rest of my life.

Thank you everybody for your support and good luck to all of you.

Dreams that you dare to dream... really do come true !

Forty people is nice for an oath ceremony, but one would be so much better, the other 39 or 14,000 really don't care if you get your certificate or not, just care about their own families. Just a long long wait for these big ceremonies.

Congratulations! I'm happy for you.

I haven't had my interview yet but based on the experience of oath-takers in my DO, it's not something to look forward to.

6,000 people each for 2 ceremonies a day. I don't think I will be bringing any of my loved ones with me. I can imagine how hard it will be to find them after the ceremony.
