hey yo sorry folks for my tardiness..

we lost power today from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. at night.. so I couldn't come online for the countdown.

so since me and yacine were already sweating to death at 9 am.. we thought it would be a good idea to go to the Societé Générale in Rouiba.. and then Yacine went to fill out some documents to apply to renew his passport..

Then we went to the big indoor shopping mall and I bought a couple khimar... browsed around... bought a gift for henia.. then we went shopping for food... ohhh man.. we went overboard lol

Came home at 2 pm.. no electricty.. rested.. took a cold manual shower.. started cooking for hachemi's arrival..

I chopped garlic, tomatoes, onions, red bell peppers, zucchini for a 14 egg omelete (yes there was 4 of us eating lol)... cut up apples to make fried cinnamon apples.. grated potatoes to make a cheesy potatoe casserole.. grated carrots and sliced cucumbers for a vinagrette salad.. chopped up strawberries and peaches for smoothies.. etc etc and the list goes on.. ok so that took like 3 hours of prep.. then brought everything upstairs to cook.. that was when hachemi came.. sent yacine to go buy some bread..

then when I brought dinner down I was really loud and bursted into the dining room and hachemi was praying... OOPS.. haha..

so I stuffed Yacine and Hachemi like little hogs in heaven... took a shower after (YES! finally running water).. and made coffee and cookies for hachemi... yeah... (SPOILED!) ::giggles::

I think there is still some cake leftover from the baby shower yesterday... from Yacine's neice.. gonna send some home with Hachemi.. speaking of yesterday, so many people passed by for the baby shower.. letting their kids run amok in front of our apartment.. unfortunately one decided to take a dump in front of our door (lovely).. Ok that's the play-by-play for Icey's day... Time for nighty night soon..

WOW SOUNDS LIKE YOU KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT SPEAKING 3 LANGUAGES, ISLAM, COOKING, NURSING, ETC... BUT I AM SO GLAD TO HAVE RUNNING WATER AND ELECTRICITY WHENEVER I WANT... OH AND I KNOW HOW TO DO A SIT UP YOU KNOW TO KEEP IN GOOD SHAPE FOR MY FIANCE

Congratulations it's nice to see some more Algerians in this forum

I am online with Hachemi right now. He is giving me the play by play.

Ok, He arrives before 3 pm and the guard says, your appointment was at 9:30am. Hachemi says, no it is at 3pm. The guard calls the consular and they say 3pm. It was listed wrong. Ok, he goes in and there is another couple there. The women is the wife of a USC. They were the only other people there. They call him to the window. It is an Algerian man. I thought he said it was a women when I talked to him earlier. Hachemi is all the time getting he and she mixed up. He took the DS documents and affidavit of Support documents. Also the copy of my divorce papers, and our proof of relationship with photos. He did his little swearing thing (that what he wrote is true and that he hereby swears to marry me) and signed the document. Hachemi said the Algerian man gave the documents to an older American man. Hachemi waited while the American man went over his documents. They called him back and the American man gave him back the proof of relationship documents and the photos and told him nicely that we had a lot of proof, when we only needed a little. ooookayyyy. Anyway they explained to him about going to UPS to pick up the visa in one week. Hachemi said, I thanked them and left. He was a little unsure and nervous when he was walking out and a women security guard asked him if he was ok. Hachemi said, I hope so. She then asked him did they keep your passport. He said yes. She said, You are ok then. He left and immediatly called me.

Thanks everyone. I am soooooo happy right now.

Congratulations! It seems that we are having a whirlwind of approvals lately.

Oh yeah, I just have to laugh over someones name "Zoloft needed". OMG....too funny! I wish I had thought of it!

'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride'
