Hi, people!! After last year's disaster, I am a little paranoid. Does anyone know the common reason why a CR1 can be denied? This is other than lack of evidence of a bona fide marriage. Not too worried about that, but you can never be too careful. What are other common reasons? I know I may be pulling the wagon before the horse, but we don't want to leave any stone unturned. We do have the court and arya samaj (religious) marriage licenses. Please help to ease my nerves

Thanks all!!

Kaushalia

Thank you so much  I was sorry to hear your news on the AP Tracker. I know the pain of it going back to USCIS, trust me. I think I cried for 2 months straight. It was like some literally ripped my heart out and did the Mexican hat dance all over it. I hope you are with your husband soon!!!

Hello,

Congratulations on the wedding! To answer your questions, CR1 denials are NOT common. Unless there is a clear case of unfaithfulness (secret marriage, another spouse) of the applicant, or clear fraud, CR1's do not get denied. I am sure you have many wedding photos, and e-mails and such, I honestly would not worry about denial. AP is one thing, denial is another, and from my years here I have not see any denials for common cases and faithful marriages.

Remember God is the ultimate decider of life, and the embassy or immigration can never keep you apart from your lawful spouse.

God bless,

Tam

AP: Over 1 year.

Visa: Nov 2

US Entry: Nov 13, Alhamdulillah.

Thank you, Tam! You are exactly right, only God has the last word. We know that there are other options, definitely. You have made me more relieved to know that cr1 denials are not common. We did the K1 pretty blindly, but I can say we understand where we went wrong, and stopped blaming the embassy for our lack of understanding and mistakes. It was a very hard lesson learned. We will trust God and keep the faith, we will be together some where  Please keep us in your prayers. I love your signature, by the way :D.

You'll be fine! You knew to cross your t's and dot your i's this time. Between the pics, the certificates, etc etc you should have a solid case. I concur with Tammy, it seems super rare for CR1's to have issues. You've been up front about your relationship with the embassy and USCIS from the start...heck they had all of your engagement information! It only makes sense that if you two are a true and genuine couple that the next step would be marriage. There shouldn't be any red flags about that!

So, get cracking on your paperwork :P !

Oh...and more pics please!!!!

Congratulations on your marriage. You will be fine this time, I am sure in that.

You are expert in these case now so you will include all the necessary evidence and USCIS is gonna approve your case one more time, then embassy will approve that too.

Good luck
