I'm taking a boatload of paperwork (bills etc evidence), in case they need to see more, since we're applying based on the 3 years, so don't have as long a marriage history as y'all...

Hope the wait for the OL is short!!

We are also 3 year filers, just waited an extra couple of months. But not as long as it took them to complete my AOS which was really what added a lot of time to the procedure.

LOL, as well as the folder I carried to the interview (with the extra utility bills) I also had the BIG folder in the car in case they wanted anything else. Judging by some recent posts it just seems you never know what they may have lost or want to see again.

Thanks to you all for all the support it makes this whole process a little less frustrating to know so many people are around "rooting" for you.

Got a letter by mail on Sat :

"Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had to cancel the previously scheduled interview on Thu, 9/17/2009. We regret any inconvenience this may cause. We will advise you of any further action taken on this case, including any rescheduled interview information, under separate notice.

I will call them tomorrow but my guess is that they might scheduled too many people on the same day but i really have no clue.

I do have a feeling that's their problem and there is nothing wrong with my application since i did not receive any other communication requesting additional information.

Do you guys any ideas or suggestions?

By the way, the office where my interview was scheduled was just inaugurated on August 19th so maybe they did not get the case or something since they are new.

Don't worry, this is very common. They probably don't have your file transfered or ready yet at you local DO. You'll get another appointment soon.

I really hope so.

I do believe that is related with the office where my interview was scheduled just being inaugurated on August 19th.

Let's wait and see....Back to every day anxiously mail box searching mode.

Hey CColdwell, congratulations!!! This is very encouraging. Mid october is perfect according to previous projections. I thought they would go much farther than that since it took so long for them to send the letter... :) .

I am eagerly waiting for mine. Lets see I expect to receive something by end of this week or latest by the end of next week.

Congratulations Jayde. Seems like you will be the first one to finish the process.

@Leo_Boca_Raton Sorry to hear about the deschedule letter - yes, as phillydude411 said, its reasonably common and nothing to do with your application, just USCIS's calendaring (in)abilities... Probably you'll get a new date that's just a week or two after the original. As you mentioned, its probably due to the new office opening and getting staff there working right etc...

06/07/09 - N400 sent in via Fedex Overnight

06/09/09 - N400 delivered and signed for

06/10/09 - NOA1 Notice Date

06/11/09 - Cheque Cashed

06/23/09 - Biometrics Letter Received

07/11/09 - Biometrics Appointment @ 8AM

08/21/09 - Yellow Letter Received

08/29/09 - Interview Letter Received

10/14/09 - Interview @ 9:40AM  

10/14/09 - Oath @ 2:00PM

@CColdwell - yay!! Finally got the IL - fantastic! Sure this is good news for all the Newark filers... :dance:

@Leo_Boca_Raton Sorry to hear about the deschedule letter - yes, as phillydude411 said, its reasonably common and nothing to do with your application, just USCIS's calendaring (in)abilities... Probably you'll get a new date that's just a week or two after the original. As you mentioned, its probably due to the new office opening and getting staff there working right etc...
