Hi everyone! Hope the week is getting off to a good start for you!

I'm hoping that perhaps I might get my IL at the end of the week... so *fingers crossed...*

Congratulations to all who have received their interview letters. Hope the remaining will get the letters this month. I see Atlanta DO is quite slow compared to others. It is only Imzadi and me on the list from Atlanta DO. Any update Imzadi? We completed FP around same time.

Wow - Congratulations Leo_Boca_Raton, KBF and Kashif on getting your Interview Letters... really fabulous... :dance: :dance: So that is about 30% of the June filers who have an interview date now... and we are only in the first week of August (pretty good for USCIS!)

@InternetKafe - Oh I hope my IL will come soon, but I didn't do a walk-in biometrics, just stuck with the date they gave me so perhaps mine will be towards the end, since the namecheck has to clear etc, even though my PD might be earlier...

@PoisonTee - Thanks for that link, it's good to have a different format to answer the questions, that way I can be sure I know them... :D

Let's hope the good news continues today in more mailboxes :D

Mailboxes, mailboxes :) And they say USPS is losing business, they are still carrying hopes and messages across the country :P

Hi All,

After seeing innernetkafe's mailbox post, I though of asking you all for suggestion. Yesterday I got postal mails

of my neighbor in my mailbox, obviously the USPS postal delivery person has messed up some mails. It definitely

raised my heart beat especially when I am expecting my interview letter any time. I was hoping he has not put my

mail in someone else mailbox.

To be safe, should I call up USCIS and ask if they have posted my interview letter. Can they give that

information to me?

No, I haven't received my IL either yet. But I'm eagerly watching my mail every day.

Tomorrow I'll leave for Austria and I have a funny feeling my letter will arrive during my absence (will be back on Aug. 16th). I asked our neighbors to watch our mail and I also asked her - when a letter with the USCIS logo arrives - to open it, call me and tell me what it says.

Goes to show how anxious I already am ... ;)

Congrats to everyone who has received his IL recently - day X is coming closer and closer! :star:

I noticed some of you have interviews scheduled less than three months after you sent in your N-400 package. Did any of you file 90 days prior to meeting your residency requirement and if so, how will they be able to approve you on your interview day? Things seem to be moving so fast with naturalization that I'm afraid my interview is going to be scheduled before I actually qualify. My USCIS office is quite far away and I sure as heck don't want to make two treks out there.

I had the same concern because in the application you state that you have been resident for three years so there is a conflict. I asked them and they said technically you are eligiable ninty days before the three years, Congress wanted the proccessing time to be deducted from the three years.

I have applied and everything seems fine.

They are able to approve you.

I noticed some of you have interviews scheduled less than three months after you sent in your N-400 package. Did any of you file 90 days prior to meeting your residency requirement and if so, how will they be able to approve you on your interview day? Things seem to be moving so fast with naturalization that I'm afraid my interview is going to be scheduled before I actually qualify. My USCIS office is quite far away and I sure as heck don't want to make two treks out there.

I had the same concern because in the application you state that you have been resident for three years so there is a conflict. I asked them and they said technically you are eligiable ninty days before the three years, Congress wanted the proccessing time to be deducted from the three years.

I have applied and everything seems fine.

They are able to approve you.

This is interesting to see discussed because I was wondering about that as well......I mentioned this earlier in the process due to what I was told by my local office. I am glad to see people getting interviews so quickly- regardless of how much you try to tell yourself you won't allow yourself to become stressed, you still do! Anyway congrats to everyone who have received their IL's and hope the rest of us get them quickly!! Funnily enough, my cousin has become engaged to someone who lives in the UK, and I just pointed him to Visa Journey, so he's starting at the beginning of the process right now. I have offered to help him, but having support from people going through what you are going through at the exact same time is really helpful I think. I am very grateful for all the help and support my fellow VJ'ers have given me. Thanks guys.

7/6/09: NOA1

7/24/09: Biometrics

10/08/09: Interview

11/21/09: Receive oath date

01/22/10: Oath Date
