I am here now in the state and I had undergone my tb skin test for school requirements, my sched reading will be tomorrow and it seems that I had a little bumps on my skin. I kinda worried i might be positive.

any comments and suggestions will be very much appreciated?

10 mm induration (if non hi risk) not the redness is considered positive. If you are found positive they might ask you to get Chest X-ray or Quantiferon Test (for TB).

Thanks for the info. Is your wife had her tb skin test results? What was the necessary action to be taken after they found her positive?

Hi Nagz,

I had skin test here in the US because it is needed for my job and the bump turned kinda big so they require me to have chest x-ray. It turned out negative naman on the chest x-ray. A pinay friend of mine here had TB skin test too and the result of hers is the same like mine, big bump but negative on x-ray. My friend told me that she knows 2 pinays too that had the same result. I am not sure if this is common to pinays?

thanks to all replies,

i had my reading today and it turned out positive because of the big bump (15mm) and the nurse advise to have my chest x-ray. so i am hoping that my chest xray be negative. if it turn out positive then i will undergo medication. i always pray that it will be negative because i dont had problem with all my medical with st. lukes before i came here.

to pink, jamesNrei and tallcoolone thanks for the info.

I'm pretty sure it will be negative. You were cleared at St. Luke's most likely you will too this time. :) Don't worry about it.
