Since I was the first one around this morning, I thought "I'm going to start our weekly thread" :P

I have today off, but I am so use to working all the time, am kind of lost :huh: I'm not use to having "nothing to do" :lol:

I hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend:

Caroline & Diego - Here's hoping you two have a safe flight home. Congrats on everything coming together so quickly in the end. Very happy for you two :dance:

Sarita ... Welcome to sunny California! Congrats on getting to your new home :yes:

Yo' Sis ... 'sup? So Y has been here for a couple weeks now ... probably all boring and routine by now ... right? :lol:

Cnt ... I guess I could say the same for you? :P I sent you a PM with my cell - I'm a "texter" too :yes:

Wendy ... How's the adjustment going girl? You and John having a good time? The new pics on FB look like you're blending right in :thumbs:

GS ... You are probably still in the 'euphoria' stage right now with hubby just getting home. I hope he arrived safely and that you two are enjoying your first few days together :luv:

Mar 6, 2009 - Medical for Ksenia & Sasha completed in Kiev. Everything is great.

Mar 9, 2009 - Called NVC and found out our K3 is in "administrative processing"

Apr 6, 2009 - OUT OF A.P. !!! File being sent to Kiev !

May 5, 2009 - K3 interview in Kiev! APPROVED !!!

July 12, 2009 - ARRIVAL IN USA !!!

Hi Steve!!!

We are spending some quality time together as a couple.. Husbie is back to work anyway.. I am so excited to receive my SSN so I could get a driver's license.. It is a pity that I cannot drive here in NJ using my Phil license because of the "immigrant" thingy..

How are you doing? Hope you are having some R&R..

Hey bro!! Im glad you finally had a day off... I hope you had some MUCH deserved rest.

Things are back to routine since I went back to work, but its still a total joy to come home to my husband AT HOME teehee

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Hi All,

I hope everyone is doing well....

EWWWW back to work today.... only a few weeks left and I will be off for the summer. Im kinda looking forward to it...

I talked to Caroline. She and Diego landed in Atlanta this afternoon and all is well. Immigration took them about 5 minutes. Caroline is happy. (duhhhh)

She said she will post tomorrow.

Just posting to mention that my wife had her interview in Chennai today and got approved ! :dance::dance: Chennai is one of the consulates where the petitioner is allowed to accompany the beneficiary and so I was with her in the waiting room and was even asked a few questions in the initial screening. But both of us could not believe how smoothly everything went. My wife was hardly asked anything (just the wedding date) before she was told that she was approved. We were probably overprepared both in terms of documentation as well as having thought out every possible thing they could ask in a nightmare grilling scenario but I guess that is always better than being underprepared. It took us 10 long months to get to this point and we shudder to think that we still have POE, AOS, EAD, AP, removal of conditions and finally naturalization to deal with in the future. But at least for now my wife can join me in the US (we will be flying to the US on June 12).
