Hello.

I'm going to get my medical exam tomorrow.

Its been years since I've actually been to the doctor's so I'm quite nervous about this one.

It would be nice to know what the procedures are. What they check for and test and so on...

Thanks!

Hi Akiko,

I had my medical done at the Tokyo British Clinic about a month ago.

The procedures were quite simple. They were;

- Chest X-ray

- Blood test

- Inquiry of medical history, smoking and drinking habit, etc

- Skin check (?) by a male doctor

Warning: You are allowed to wear only underwear (a bra and a panty specifically) for the skin check.

There isn't nothing to worry for the checkup itself. It was easy and quick.

It took less than 30 minutes for me. I am pretty sure you'll be fine.

Good luck

Hi Akiko,

My fiancee had her medical here in Hong Kong a few weeks ago. Similar to the last post's experience. Here, they had her come back a week later to pick up the results in two sealed envelopes, one for the interview and the other (xrays) for immigration when we enter the US.

By the way, we will be living in Hawaii also, on the Big Island. We are hoping to fly back to Hawaii on June 15. Her interview was last week and she passed, but we need to turn in one more document before they will issue the visa. So, our actual return date is in question. Wonder if we would happen to go through POE on the same day in Honolulu.

Best of luck to you.

Greg

Thank you for the answers!

It really took a lot off my back. hahah.

I'm going to get this thing done with so that I can finally be with my love :)

I haven't set an interview date since I only received packet 3 and sent it a few days ago. But I will as soon as possible!

My fiance plans to visit me and attend the interview with me. Then we plan to fly back together. I hope this will all happen in June...

I'm going to be living on Oahu. I was actually raised on Maui though. I've never been to the Big Island, one day though!

I hope you will be able to fly back on the expected date. Good luck!

And thanks for responding.
