Hi to all Vj'rs,

We are just now waiting for our case to get to the US Embassy.

And we know consulate will have our papers any day now (hopefully tue right after holiday).

So I'm getting more excited and nervous (normanl feelings) at the same time everyday (hehe).

Anyway, as you can see, I'm under K-3 but we want the I-130/CR1 if it's already at the embassy on my interview day.

Also, I started to prepare all documents for my BIG DAY.

and here's what I've got now....

Passport (w/ my married name on it)

Photos (wedding & varies occations)

Marriage Contract (from NSO)

Birth Certificate (NSO)

Chats/Call Logs

B-day, Valentines , Wedding Invitation Cards

Emails, YM SMS, Texts (from/to Blackberry)

Remittance Receipts

Phone Records

Bank Statements (Joint Account)

Affidavits (from friends/relatives)

I still have to get my NBI and Police clearances.

And guys, I just have a quick and simple questions for all who had a CR1 or K-3 visa interview...

Either way, what are the required/neccesary documents I need to bring with me on the interview?

Is my list above correct? Please let me know if I'm missing some things.

And guys, when do I need to apply for my NBI and PC...Can I get it now even I dont have my interview sched yet?

Also, regarding ds-156/k & ds-230, when is the appropriate time to fill them up? Do I have to wait for the packet that contains the instructions?

What other documents do I need from my husband to complete the requirements?

Any response would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you very much in advance...

Hi, does USEm really require affidavits from friends/relatives?

Is there anyone here (VJ) who were asked to present these affidavits during the actual interview?

Please share your inputs.

Thanks

I read some posts here before that says embassy asks for it during the interview...Also, it's stated in the petition's instruction. But I'm not sure though if the manila consulate still asking for this. We don't know...

We just want to be prepared for just in case they ask for it...

Get a NSO CEMAR [Marriage index]

K3s and CRs DON't fill out a DS 156K! Only fiance visas do so.

Apply for NBI now.

If you have been abroad for more than 6 months since you were 16 you need police clearance from the countries you were in.

DS 230 should have been filled out and sent to NVC for the I-130.

NO need affidavits for K3 or CR interviews.
