Hey everyone,

this is my first post and nice to meet everyone on the board.

here is my problem

My gf went to the US embassy(AIT) yesterday in Taiwan for visitor visa but she didnt pass again (3 time). so I will have to file K1.

there few question I want to ask and hope you guy can help me out

1.How long usually K1 take? I heard 6 months and I even heard 18months. just an est. time.

2.I saw it on another topic regarding merry in Canada and bring to to US (CR-1?), and I was thinking about that too. cause in taiwan is million time easier to get the visitor visa to Canada, so if I do that how long will it take for my finace to get over here(est. time)?

I didnt see her for almost 9 months now and we are really really upset about this and I hope all of you can help me out, cause Im so lost right now.

oh...and here is the reason she got reject from AIT

She came to the US once for visitor visa and she stay in US for over 5 months and she didnt stay in the US over her Visa period(6 months)

2/22/2008 to 08/16/2008

1st interivew (Oct.2008) She dont have a proof for porperty in Taiwan and she stay in US too long last time

2nd time (Nov. 2008) same reason

3th time (May 22 2009) My gf was so honestly and tell the lady that she is coimg to visit her bf and will go back to taiwan in 2 months but still got rejected.

Please let give me some adivise and hope you guy dont mind for my poor english

Thanks

1) TIMELINES! http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list...an&dfile=No

2) Will take LONGER, time to get RESIDENT visa for Canada, and then time to get immigrant visa, also CR-1 type visa MAY require return to home country (Taiwan) to interview.

Taiwan is quicker than Mainland China. I dealt with China a few years ago, 8-9 months process.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

1. Don't plan on less than 6 months for her to arrive here, probably more like 9 months

2. No, After getting into Canada (however long that takes) she is still not here and then you still have to go the process to get her here. Bad idea. K-1 will be faster

3. Once you apply, she is your "fiancee" there are no visas for girlfriends and do not use that word around a consulate :)

Rejections of visitors visas will have no affect. I am not familiar with the consulate in Taiwan, I am sure some others here are. In order to establish your bona fide realtionship YOU may need to go visit her one or two more times. Other wise it will be maybe 18 months between your visits and that could be a problem for establishing an ongoing relationship leading to marriage.
