i believe you got married in phil right??? from my understanding is that amending your marriage in the US are only for those who got married in the US and want to report their marriage in the phil govt... to acknowledge that you're married already... since im in a K1 visa and got married here in the US, im suppose to report my marriage in the phil consulate (which i havent done it yet  )...

i hope somebody can clarify coz i might be wrong

edit to add: oh i think what you meant is to amend your passport in your married name... i think you can do that too... there's a website for that and i think your consulate is in san fran!

Call the Philippine consulate near you. You should be able to change your name in your PP.

You can also change your name with USCIS when you remove conditions if you are a CR-1.

Easiest way to do that would have been to do it at passport office in home country before coming to the USA.

Also if your green-card comes to you in maiden name you will need to file an I-90 and pay a Big FEE to get name changed on the green-card.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Yo Dan.

Isn't it possible if the 2 year GC is in your maiden name to apply for removing conditions in your married name and get the 10 GC in your married name?

I know a person can change maiden name to married adjusting status.

You entered here on a CR1 category base on your profile and you married in the Phils. and basically your petition was already under your married name. So i dont understand why you want an ammendment. Because as far as know only K1 visa holders can ammend their last name after they get married here. Clarify your status first.

You entered US using ur CR1 visa, and you got married in the Philippines,am I right? so that means you're passport is in married name already coz it has to be match with your CR1 visa which shows your married name.

Amendment of passport are for K1 or to those applicants who got married here in the US and before to amend the passport, you have to report your marriage first or do it both at the same time at the nearest Philippine Consulate.
