Hey Guys,

Just to let you all know that Mercedes is expecting a baby later this year. Once the initial shock of the whole thing wore off we are very excited about it all.

So I have about 6 months to find work that includes benefits, otherwise we are homeless and I'm delivering the baby ... which funnily enough happened to my friend last week ... his wife woke up pushing and he delivered a 9Ibs 9oz baby there and then ... but it was in Donegal ... they are made of strong stuff up there.

Hope you are well, just thought I'd share the happy news.

Cheers Guys, Most have applied for over 200 jobs by now and 2 interviews ... both came back saying I was over-qualified. Bummer. Still, something's gotta give.

Congrats to you both Eli!! If it helps at all, many of us who arrived in the US last year have found it difficult getting a suitable job. So many USC's out of work too. I consider myself lucky to be working 20 hours a week on minimum wage. It's a tough time for almost everyone but things will get better and you and your family will be fine. Hugs :luv:
