It happens a lot, hopefully once you submit the requested papers and your passport, it will only take a few weeks to process and issue the visa. Did it say ONLY submit certain documents or was there more to it?

they only checked immigration record and also asked for my old student visa that i had from 1990 to 1994 when i used to live in the united states ...so i am only a litle bit worried about the pasport so i hope is normal that they forget to mark the passport as requirament

Yes, she asked for you to submit your passport iwth your needed documents because it will be approved. As long as you submit the correct documents that is.

Typically an embassy or consulate will hold a case for up to a year. But is is best to give them what they want ASAP.

AP at this stage is Administrative Processing.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
