hello people out there???

what is your opinion about a situation wherein Ms X was petitioned by her fiance and then she came here using that visa. after 90 days she decided not to marry him then go back to the philippines...her reason was because he have a better man (young & richer) and promised to petition her but he disappears. now she is still communicating and friends with her ex fiance and is begging her to go back to him.

do you think it is a wise move of the guy???

will Ms X encounter some problems on the 2nd petition???

I think the guy would be very silly to take her back.... Younger and richer is better, and love doesn't factor into it?

If he does take her back though, other than a few extra questions at the interview as to why the first K1 wasn't used for marriage, I don't think there will be any problems.

People like Ms X are the reason that legitimate couples have such a difficult time.

I feel very sorry for the man that thinks that she loves him.

I am not known to have opinions on many things, but on a few. My father always said it is just as easy to "marry a rich one as a poor one" but I never listened to that advice. More's the pity. :)

I think the guy would be crazy, personally, to put it mildly. There are too many sincere women in the world who would love to be married to just a decent sort of man and not demand much else, to mess with her.

I am also of the opinion this is only maginally a K-1 topic, but I am not a moderator so I cannot move anything

Whoever the guy is, this should probably happen to him:

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)
