The timelines you're looking at were filled in by people and are therefore imperfect. People can and do make mistakes when entering there dates also couples with special situations can get expedites, deployment is the only one I've heard of so far. Generally speak at the CSC you can expect to wait 3 months, as of today it's averaging 82 days.

Thanks for the info Kate and Matt. 82 days is not bad. It's a lot better than 4 months! I never did think how slow this is until it happened to me.

Yong why don't you set up your timeline?

I will once I figure out how to enter them. Thanks.

At the top of the page it says My Assistant...click it and then click Edit/Add my Timeline...add your email address and follow the instructions it is really easy

Yong, you are panicking right now. Relax! There are many people who've applied earlier than you that haven't received their NOA2 yet. Not one person in my March 2009 filer group, excluding the military expedite, has an approval yet. You've got to be patient. USCIS states that processing is currently taking six months. So, expect to wait that long. Who knows? You may get lucky. But, you need to keep six months on your mind.

K-1 Progress:

I-129F Sent: 03/09/09

I-129F Received by CSC: 03/11/09

NOA1 Notice date: 3/12/09

NOA2 Notice date: 6/24/09

NOA2 Hardcopy: 6/29/09

NVC Received: 6/30/09

NVC Sent to GUZ: 7/6/09

Hi CF&CZ, do you how can I join the April filer group, or your march filer group for that matter? Also, you sent your i-129f on march 09 and received your NOA1 on march 12. Is that really true? I sent in my on april 20, it got to uscis on april 23, they notified me on may 5, they mailed my NOA1 to me on may 6, I received it on May 9. I wonder if they have slowed down right now.

Thanks!

From what I've been reading in the forums, yes, they've slowed down a lot. If you look at April filers, it took a while before any of them got the NOA1. As for what's causing the slowdown? It seems that they're processing H-1B visas right now, and from what I read, it takes precedence over family-based visas. So, our petitions will have to wait.

You've got to be patient. I think six months is the correct target now. I know it sucks, but what can we do? It's out of our hands.
