Sali po ako since gardening is my husband's passion :P These were taken spring 2008. I didn't take pictures this year because we were away on vacation most of the time. But basically, these are all the flowers in our garden every year, except for new ones that we usually plant every now and then. Enjoy!

100_0150.jpg --> Hubby calls this as plain plant box... I call it surprise box because different flowers pop up here one after another. We just planted those yellow Marigolds...

100_0149.jpg --> You'll see here the tulips that just came out... We love tulips!

100_0328.jpg --> Tulips are done... It's time for yellow irises!

100_0116.jpg --> Our mailbox... right now all you see are yellow daffodils... after awhile, the clamydas will come out. See picture below...

100_0221-1.jpg --> These are clamydas (dunno the right spelling-lol). Love them!

100_0113-1.jpg --> Tulips by our pond...

100_0152.jpg --> Purple tulips by the ditch...

100_0160.jpg --> Red tulips by our brandford pear tree... Ignore the lady, she's trying to be a model-LOL

To be continued...

hi ur roses is very beautiful.. i envy.. pano ka nakapgtanim ng roses?

ganda talga... i have a daisy but i think its not beautiful... i love so much flowers nakakawala ng problema..

thank you. i put some potting soil in my roses kasi d maganda lupa nila dito sa US di ba. so before ka mag tanim mag hukay ka muna din lagyan mo ng potting soil before and after para maganda ang paglaki nya. nilalagyan ko rin ng manure at diligan mo at least twice a week. at wag mo gagalawin after mo itanim kasi namamatay sya. :)

try kng gawin nyan, bibili pa ako ng roses and orchids.. thanks sa advice..

Well, Ryan gave me the freedom to re-arrange a.k.a. renovate/re-sow/in-other-words-fix his yard. Started with a plant box under the kitchen window in which i plan to put a few herbs and tomatoes for easy picking when needed. I have two young tomato plants there now, one Roma variety for my pasta dishes, and one Beefmaster for my sandwiches. I plan to start some basil, rosemary, and tarragon in small pots in the kitchen and then transfer them outside by summer time. Thankfully the dog chases squirrels away...or at least frightens them.

I am relegated to pulling out small weeds rather than digging them up and turning the soil, now that I am early in my pregnancy. I plan to lay down some mulch to keep the weeds down for now. We have to take down the bushes in front of the porch as we both hate them, and replace them with a bed of flowers. I have a few tulips at the base of a tree in the corner of the yard though I wish that i could cut-off and steal the bulbs of my neighbor's various-coloured tulips and plant them in my yard :D

Doug wants to plant veggies, too, but the other side of our yard is concrete so he might buy a planter box. Skyblue where did you get kangkong? Tapos di ba kailangan nakatanim yun sa tubig? I miss kangkong in my sinigang. I substitute kangkong with spinach, pwede na rin. Para na tuloy ako si Popeye, kumakain ng spinach, and like Popeye lumalaki na rin tuloy ang braso ko. I can't find kangkong in the Asian Stores here in WA or OR.

It's true what you said, Mari. I have to read the instructions carefully on how to grow plants ~ if it needs sun or shade, more or less water, etc. etc. otherwise, mamamatay lang sila.

Hi Sky blue,

Ang mahal naman ng tanglad diyan sa inyo. Dito sa amin sa Texas 7 to 10 peraso 2 dollars lang. Pag itanim mo sa garden mo babalik din yon. Kung gusto mo na may lagi kang tanglad during the winter.
