CR 1 Interview in BOMBAY, INDIA in June questions?

Today has been one of the happiest day in my life as we found that my wife's interview is on June 15th. My questions is how to repare for it.

She will be getting her Medical done in Ahemdabad in about a week. After that she can take the medical result and x - ray to the interview. When does she submit couries fees and where? There is no information about in in CVR Appointment Letter. It just lists the time and date and talks about Medical but nothign about VFS couries fees?

How long does it take to get VISA after successful interview in BOMBAY as I need to look for tickets?

Please help me and thanks guys.

you can check on mumbai.usconsulate.gov in tht go in immigrant visa also chk this link for info abt interview procedure in mumbai http://www.***removed***/gc/consular/interview.html

yr wife has to pay courier fees at vfs only its around 394 Rs..... and u can collect visa on same day between 5 to 6 pm ... chk the step three for visa collection...

The courier fee should be paid at VFS 7-10 business days. Your wife can do this at the VFS office in Ahmedabad.

Thanks for the reply. So after paying the VFS fee in ahemdabad she can pick up the VISA same day if approved around 5-6 PM from VFS office right? Am I understanding this correctly. If that is the case would it be a good idea to buy Ticket now for around June 21st. Did you buy ticket before the VISA in hand or after the VISA? It seems that if I buy ticket after VISA it will be super expensive. Thanks for the advice

yr wife have to pay the courier fees at VFS prior to 10 days of interview at ahmedabad along with documents , like if she has interview date june 15 than count 10 days before june 15th except saturday and sunday..and holidays .. and go to ahmedabad ...u can call at VFS ahmedabad for more info abt when to go..they will give you receipt for payment.

and then, take the receipt along with other docs to mumbai on the day of interview.. yes u can get visa on same day so u can book ticket of 17th..

musst - You can book your ticket in advance of the visa approval, I bought my wife's ticket for 4 days after the Visa interview. I did this to make sure she had some time to deal with any last minute things etc. It was purely a personal choice.
