If my memory is right, a friend of mine paid PhP1000 for the Psychiatric Evaluation.

I not know you had Psychiatric Evaluation. Me thought you said your husband not ill, I hope he is better

What??? I NEVER said I had Psychiatric Evaluation! Please read carefully what I said. What I said was A FRIEND OF MINE HAD IT. And NO! My husband was never sick  But I HOPE YOURS IS DOING BETTER. :)

Ooopppsss

:rofl::rofl: Next time read carefully before you open your mouth...

Forgiveness is not saying what someone did to us is right. It is saying, "I'll let God straighten this out"..

The discussion about money paid at St. Lukes is between the petitioner and the fiancee. Money should not be an issue in any relationship, maybe the fiancee is just confused. If she is honest as the petitioner is saying then she should be. Staying in Manila is very expensive and somebody is right, maybe she included some other expenses and just missed saying it to the petitioner. Not a big deal if there are some confusion or miscommunication.

Anybody had their medical exam this year? How much did you end up paying? Please post here.........

according to the us embassy, manila website the medical exam fee is 213.35 USD =P10500 approx..But when my fiance went to take her medical exam on May 6 (today) she paid P15454 including all required vaccine shots. They told her that the increase took in effect on January 2009 (this year). The website is very misleading :bonk: It should be updated when there are changes taking place ASAP, It's been 4 months and still says $213.35 for medical exam fee.....MISLEADING INFO.....http://manila.usembassy.gov/ should provide accurate info......

wow!!! are you sure she paid on that big amount?????(sorry to ask huh but thats a lot)

i had my medical exam last may 04 and 5 then i paid 10,454.15pesos...

I am confused? :help: 5000 pesos difference between May 4, 5 exam (when you took yours) and May 5, 6 exam date (when my fiance took hers). Does SLMEC randomly change their fee?? :bonk: Did they have a fee increase on that day?? Anybody here took their medica exam on May 5 and 6 please post a reply here...THANKS....

slec posts the medical fee right by the entrance and its usually more or less 10,400 - 10,500 pesos , that includes the immunizations. i was able to talk to the cashier herself and asked her why sometimes the prices change , she explained that it will depend on the dollar exchange rate. she said the us embassy calls st lukes to inform them of the current rates and whether they need to change the medical fees. however, if there are any changes in the fees, it would only be a very slight difference, usually between 100-200 pesos.

I GOT THE ANSWER YEHEY

Ok i got the answer as to why my fiance paid 5000 extra, a total of P15,454 for her medical fee yesterday May 6....I feel stupid and silly for doubting her one bit... :crying: I know all along that she was trustworthy...She have shown it to me after 5 years of knowing each other, I was afraid for a minute that she had a different side of her that I never knew. As it turned out it was all a big misunderstanding. This is what happened... :star:

Today, she went back to St. Luke for the vaccination or immunization part of the process. The person who attended to her informed her that she also paid for the cervical cancer or anti cervical cancer vaccine and that this is not required, apparently whoever helped her yesterday probably recommended that she should take this , she said she thought all of the vaccines are included in the price. Anyway this vaccine is a series of 3 shots that is taken within the span of 6 months. The second shot would be administered after two months of the first shot and the 3rd and last shot after 4 months of the second shot. They told her today this is not included in the medical exam fee of $213.35 because it's very expensive. It is P5,000 per shot. She already paid for the initial shot yesterday. So that explains the DISCREPANCY. To make this whole story short....After calling me and talking this over we decided to cancel the anti cervical cancer vaccine shot because she can get it for free under my insurance, as oppose to paying 5,000 x 3 a total of 15,000 for the vaccine if taken there at St Luke's. Holy cow that's 3 Benjamins...I was happy she was able to get the refund for the vaccine, otherwise we would have gone through with it and would have end up paying P10,000 on top of it for the two booster shots that would have followed......Yes indeed you guys are right all along medical fee is still $213.35  , unless for some reason you opted to get the anti-cervical cancer vaccine....

lol! see that's good thing to know...

off topic: i may not know about cervical vaccine much, but please try to read the pros and cons about the vaccine here in the US. once she gets here and if both of you still wana do it... i believe its for women under 26 yrs old?

nonetheless, ive seen on the news here in CO that 3 cases (teenagers) has a very unusual effect and 3 of them ended up in the hospital and the other girl has now having regular seizure (from time to time) and their lives has change completely... so im not really sure if its really worth it though im not a doctor. i was gona get one or thinking to get one, but got scared after watching the news... good luck to you guys esp the interview
