Anybody had their medical exam this year? How much did you end up paying? Please post here.........

according to the us embassy, manila website the medical exam fee is 213.35 USD =P10500 approx..But when my fiance went to take her medical exam on May 6 (today) she paid P15454 including all required vaccine shots. They told her that the increase took in effect on January 2009 (this year). The website is very misleading :bonk: It should be updated when there are changes taking place ASAP, It's been 4 months and still says $213.35 for medical exam fee.....MISLEADING INFO.....http://manila.usembassy.gov/ should provide accurate info......

i think she included her transportation, food and other allowances for that two day and asked you that amount(just my opinion though). The fee hasnt changed but maybe the exchange rate but it wont go that high. I also paid 10,454 on April 29 and 30.

Danger Will Robinson:

Sounds like she spent about 5,000 pesos too much.

Possible Scenarios:

1.) Communication problem and she only spend 10 K pesos

2.) Gave her family or friend some money

I would do further investigation into this.

She needs to be accountable to the last peso, cuz I am sure you had to send her money for all of this.

Hopefully it's just a mis understand

Exchange Rate would have nothing to do with Price of Medical.......

EXCHANGE RATE IS 48PESOS....I DONT KNOW WHY IT CAME UP WITH 10,454.15PESOS...:innocent:

Exchange Rate is not relative in this scenario

It could be 35 peso to 1 dollar, or 55 peso to 1 dollar.

Medical Interview fee is constant and stable number which doesn't change on daily basis.

This issue is the Poster is wanting to know why his fiance spent about 5,000 peso more than she should on the Medical Interview.
