Good morning to all. Yes we too here in Houston have a few school districts closed due to Swine flu.

Wish I could sleep, guess I will get head start on straightening up around the house.

Good night to the ones who can sleep, and good day to all.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

Happy Sunday MENA (F)

Swine flu....I'm soooo SICK of hearing about it. It's a flu, yes infants and elderly die from the flu all the time and guess what, 3rd world countries that have deaths from it, typically 3rd world countries have deaths from flus and other things we do not here in the US. GRRR....Okay, done b!tiching. But I do wish I had off work for it!

:star::star: If anyone has time...will ya vote for Nour (we entered her picture in a baby contest for a local radio station). You can vote as many times as you like day after day! She could win 2k! I'm thinking a good start for a college fund! :star::star:http://www.mix969.com/pages/baby-idol/vote...gid=5&id=20

Wishing everyone a wonderful Sunday!! (F)

Nawal- I voted! :D and I was more than glad to do so....she's just adorable!! :luv:

Aww...thanks honey! You know when I have a headache (I used to get horrible migraines)...soft lighting (very dim), cool cloth on my head, peaceful music on while laying on my bed seemed to work well (not to mention meds but you're preggo) but its relaxing (and tell hubby a foot massage too!!).

Good morning ladies. Happy Sunday all. Woohoo for the weekend!!

Another overcast day here in Cairo, though it's bright so I suppose there is some sun coming through the clouds. And much warmer than yesterday. With some humidity as well. Gross! lol

I got the Rosetta Stone learning program for Arabic, has anyone else here used it? I'm a little nervous to try it, but hopefully it will be okay. And it's not like being in a class where I only have so long (as long as the class is) to learn.

Living with hubby in Egypt, at last.

Is the Rosetta in Egyptian Arabic? I'm using the Pimselur (sp?) right now.

Good Morning Ladies!

I have HLM's headache. Stupid dog woke me up, so I guess I will just not bother to go lay back down. I will go to church later. That will be the extent of my day.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I think the reason why everyone keeps talking about it is because it is the same virus that killed 60-100 million people in 1918, and it is spreading fast enough to equate to the beginning of a pandemic, hence the level 5 alert from the world health organization. This strain isnt as virulent as the strain in 1918, therefore it isnt as deadly thank gd. If it WERE as virulent, we would all be screwed. Lets hope it doesnt mutate and get worse, its not impossible.

No, it's not Egyptian Arabic. I wish it was, that would be great. I also have a copy of the Pimselur one, but I didn't like it so well, though I have to admit I didn't give it a huge chance.

Between the two programs, I guess I have a decent shot at learning, as long as I apply myself.

How are you finding the Pimselur?

Maureen, I feel the same way about one of my dogs. He is really going down hill and I, too, feel he isn't going to last. He is not the oldest, as my oldest dog seems to keep bouncing back to life at 17.

As many animals as I have had in the past 30+ years.....it never gets any easier. I dread it, but we love them so!

Brni, that's great news! I knew she would come through, as I had prayed.
