Hello to all mommies here and welcome sa mga bagong nag join dito sa forum:)

I'm gone for 3 days dito sa forum kasi I already gave birth last sunday around 8:57 pm. Hindi ko lubos inakala na sobrang hirap pala but everything is worth when I finally saw our baby boy. Saturday around 1:00 am nagising na lang ako dahil parang feeling ko basang-basa ako..tapos when I check di lang pala talaga feeling yon kundi totoo..I thought that my water broke pero sabi ko baka di naman kasi I don't feel anything at all na manganganak na nako...so I changed and I go back to bed...after 20 minutes yon na naman nangyari so I woke up my husband and I told him what happened..we still thinking kung pupunta na ba kami so hospital..so we ended up calling them and sabi nila its better nga daw na punta na lang don to check me. 2 am nasa hospital na kami and true enough my water broke and I'm already 1cm dilated. Hindi na kami pina-uwi...around 7 am Sunday I'm 3 cm dilated...11 am still 3 cm..that is when I decided to get na the Petocin(tama ba spelling) para mapabilis yong contractions..after a few minutes..2 minutes na yong interval ng contractions..and sobrang sakit na...from the start I'm really wanted to have normal delivery I mean no medication included..but iba na pala pag nasa stage ka na ng labor..I decided to get pain medication at first yong sa IV lang nilalagay and medyo mild lang sya..pero after 1 hr wala ng yong bisa and that time sobrang sakit na talaga. And I can't believe myself na humingi sa kanila ng epidural..but I'm glad I did it kasi baka kung hindi di ko nailabas si Baby kasi I'm already worn out. Finally 8pm I'm already 10cm.And that time the Dr. told me that we need to get the baby out ASAP because his heartbeat is dropping down and that time I'm shaking uncontrobable. I pushed for 1hr before the Baby came out.....He is 6.6 lbs and 19.3 inches.

btw...im only 37.2 weeks and thank GOD he is healthy and OK and we are finally home now

I think you should consult your health care provider regarding your concern of skipping your supplements. When I was on your stage, I was advised to take Flintstones with Iron if I could not handle my prenatal vitamins. I did not take the Flintstones instead I took my prenatal vitamins with a glass of juice every after dinner. I really tried my best to take the prenatal vit because I am after to meet the daily requirement of folic acid for the baby and iron for me. I knew that stage was very crucial on the development of the baby so I took my vitamin and just took some nonpharmacological measures to alleviate nausea. I avoided greasy/fatty foods and I just ate small meals to avoid nausea/vomiting. It's normal to feel bloated because that is the effect of the hCG and progesterone (pregnancy hormone) that starts to surge. Progesterone decreases gastro-intestinal motility and may even cause constipation.

andrew&evelyn - Congratulations to your newborn baby. It was a long labor but it's great because you did not have CS. I am happy for you. Hope to see your baby's pics here.

congrats evelyn! when i had my epi, 8 cm na ako, grabeh ang anesthesiologist eh sinabihan ako ng MAM I HAVE A BIG NEEDLE ON UR BACK PLS DONT MOVE!!!! eh ang contraction ko is every 3 mins na ata,, ang sakit kaya i cant keep still...

pag naglalabor na as in unbearable talaga ang pain but worthy nga when u hear the baby cries and mahawakan mo na sya!

congrats evelyn nahahawakan mo na ang baby mo. cute nya parang combi nyo ng asawa nyo. nakakapanood ako sa tv ng mga woman giving birth and some of them are shaking akala ko giniginawa lang sila dahil sa aircon dahil pala yun sa sakit? hehehehehe...kung manormal delivery man ako i will have epidural talaga kasi there are times na pag di mo na kaya ang pain eh too late na for epidural...buti naman at di pa too late para magpaepidural ka. just reading your post parang di talaga madali ang manganak...hehehehehe...something na you cant imagine unless maexperience na talaga. iyakin ba baby mo? hows being a mom too? nilagay ba agad sa tummy mo ang baby paglabas nya? kasi yun ang nakikita ko sa tv.

yesterday i had my ultrasound, sakit ng pag ultrasound sa akin kasi mabigat ang kamay ng doctora sobrang diin nya sa tummy ko di tulad nung guy doctor nung first ultrasound ko. she said my baby is about 3.7 pounds and the fluid is okay...at first she said to come back after 4 weeks but when she looked at it very well she said come back after 6 weeks...so im gonna have another ultrasound this november to check the growth of the baby...kasi im 31 weeks and ang fundal height ko is 24 lang...but they said since im small so its okay...and the baby is normal nakita namin ang face and ang ilong parang nagmana sa akin hahahahaha.

Well...called the doc's office about my lab results. As expected, I am anemic (learned this from my first bloodwork pa and did not get a recommendation for iron-containing vits). Learned that my glucose result was high...could be from a number of things, including stress over the last few weeks. Discussed the results with the dietician, told them that I had a 2-hour post-prandial glucose test in my first pregnancy after having a high fasting blood glucose; the 2-hour one was normal. So, I am scheduled for a 3-hour test this Tuesday. I had my doubts with the one-hour glucose test as I was over-fasted and stressed and i had a light breakfast 5 hours prior. This time, i will be fully fasted and (hopefully) unstressed. HOnestly...I do not favor veggies Fruits, I've no problem. We'll see then...
