Interview at Bogota Embassy in 1 week...

Hi guys,

Appt is Monday May 11. Thought we were all organized with paperwork and just gearing up for the interview, but then I made the mistake of browsing around VJ, which always freaks me out.

My fiance doesn't have a baptismal certificate. I don't remember if he wasn't baptized or if it's not possible to get. (He's out of the country so I can't ask him at the moment.)

Is this crucial?? In the packet from the embassy, it says "suggested". He does have his folio birth certificate.

I seriously doubt we have time to get to a notary to do the certificate of non-baptism before next Monday and he can't take any more days off work for this visa stuff. Are we ok?

Also, we have a co-sponsor for the I-134 since I live and work in Colombia. Do we also need the co-sponsor's W-2s, or are the last 3 years of tax forms sufficient?? I told her just tax forms and that is all she has sent!!

Thanks VJers.....

I am very close to my co-sponsor and can download whatever I need for her, but she and I gathered her 1040s. Do we need the tax transcripts INSTEAD? I just paid like $40 to download the 1040s. (I know you can get them for free from the IRS but I don't have 10 days to wait and she couldn't find one year.)

What is the difference between the transcripts and the 1040s?? I can download the transcripts if I need to, but I am steadily going broke in this whole process.

Yes, in Colombia they ask for the baptismal certificate, but it says on the letter it is "suggested". So I don't know if that means we have to freak out and run around, or are fine with the birth certificate.
