The date code needs to be for the previous business day. Example.. if it shipped today 10/16/2009 the ref code would be EXP15 OCT 2009A

There are 3 letter codes.. A, B and C.. each needs to be run individually. The ref code EXP15 OCT 2009A will only yield results of shipments from today. mondays code will be EXP16 OCT 2009A

Interesting....My case is still in the midst of being processed at NVC however I am curious to know how this works. In the DHL site, there are two mandory fields Reference # and Date. How are you guys tracking the package? What is supposed to the reference #? When I put Reference # EXP15 OCT 2009A, I am getting an error stating it's invalid??

Peace!

After many false starts (not being on the tracking by reference page,

I checked DHL for 19 OCT and can see both your shipment to Thailand and another to London Consulate (ours??). When we called NVC they said our case would be shipped to London this week. But are NVC usually this fast?? I am not complaining!!!! Just want to make a good guess if this is our package to London?

The question for both of us here is how to check with London & BKK that it was in fact our packages

that they got. I can't check the NVC but at this point it doesn't matter as much as Bangkok.

I will be emailing & calling the BKK consulate soon to see what they can tell me.

I hope you get a quick reply to your email! Another option is to call DOS (202 663 1225) and give them your NVC case number and they will tell you you if the petition has been delivered to the consulate. I will try this over the next couple days and let you know if we are lucky!!

I got an auto-reply from the BKK consulate - it seems nearly impossible to get through to them by phone

as the signal from here (Hua Hin) to BKK is very weak. I followed the guidelines below and re-sent my

inquiry as we may already have received Packet3 in Bangkok. I hope they will recognize the USCIS

number even if we don't have an NVC or Consulate case number (wouldn't it be nice to keep the

same case number throughout the process? -- haha too much to ask for!).

I hope the second time is the charm and we won't get an auto-reply.

If you have a case specific Immigrant Visa (including Fiancée) inquiry, you must resend your email to visasbkk@state.gov and the subject line must contain "IV Inquiry," the case number (with prefix of BNK), and the applicant's surname. Your email must also contain the full name of the petitioner, applicant, the type of visa, your contact information and your question.

I hope you get a quick reply to your email! Another option is to call DOS (202 663 1225) and give them your NVC case number and they will tell you you if the petition has been delivered to the consulate. I will try this over the next couple days and let you know if we are lucky!!

Sorry to be a wet blanket, but if your NOA2 was 10/14 then it's highly unlikely that your case shipped out from NVC on 10/16.

First of all, the service centers ship approved petitions to NVC in batches, not necessarily immediately after approval. If yours missed the outgoing batch for the day, it might not have even been sent to NVC 'til a day or two after the NOA2 date. Figure in another couple days for transit time. Then, at minimum, plan on 1-2 days at NVC before shipping out to BKK—and that's not even accounting for the possibility of that special hell known as additional processing.

Your best bet is to call NVC and try to find out your status with them—and, while you're at it, your consular case number, which you'll need for inquiries with BKK.

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

How are A, B, and C used at the end of the reference code being used differently? What do they mean? For the purpose of tracking, we are to use A (not B and C) at the end, is that right?

Peace!

It could be in any of the codes.. we don't know what the difference is between the codes...

its all guesswork anyway unless it is an infrequent consulate... something that we dont see pkg's sent to very often... A is the most commonly used Letter code for shipments..
