Just another day over here.

The weather has been cooler but normal for this time of year.

? How many of you mothers would allow your 12 year old daughter to fly to Florida for a week with a friend and her family?

Not a best friend, not anyone's parents you know very well, just a friend?

My ex apparently said she could and now I look like I am the mean one and I don't want her to have any fun but it wracks my nerves to no end and I am sure if left solely up to me the answer would be NO!

I would definitely discuss with your ex the fact that he shouldn't be allowing anything this important without both of you being in agreement first. Then I'd set up a meeting with the friend and parents and decide for yourself. It might be that they're wonderful people and this would be a great opportunity for her, though then again you might just totally not like them and say no. That will suck totally because then your daughter will peg you as the bad guy but you know that passes and they survive. Good luck!

Oh Henna Rose, I didn't know the 'eye' symbol had something to do with the 'evil eye' which is the common expression for jealous passive agressive or overt hating behavior over there.

Some people say that the 'eye' symbol is for the Bilderburg group which some people believe are behind the federal reserve and actually are controlling the country and possibly the world. If you like to go down those paths then there is plenty of info all over the web about it. Better look it up sooner than later, before we go the way of China...

Yes, I saw parts of that and about the Masons, too! Some believe the Federal Reserve is behind the income tax which was never signed into law, which was partly what the April 15th Tea parties were about ~ taxation without representation !! But realistically, is anyone going to stop paying their taxes and go to jail?

sandrila, i think i would be the big Meanie and say no. You don't know anything about these parents. I wouldn't give a stranger a key to my home while I was away on vacation so i certainly wouldn't let strangers take my daughter across the country with them. It's hard to trust anybody nowadays.
