I guess some others can advise you better about this, but I believe that is the standard email that they send to everyone who emails them.

It just means they are working on your case, just like they are working on everyone elses case.

Living with hubby in Egypt, at last.

If it gives you hope, run with it. As I recall, we got the same e mail and still had to wait about 2 months for the second interview and visa. But don't take our word for it....every case is different.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

But in our case that was the type of email we rec'd just before he got his Visa in the mail...... We went from hearing "Administrative Processing" to "Administrative/Consular Review" to Visa in hand... So I'd say based on our experience it is good news.... When I searched for the meaning of "review" I found something that said once the info gathered in AP is complete then "review" begins.

Actually I just checked my emails... 7/7 we were told "Time frame for completing AP is difficult to predict" (blah blah blah) 7/8 an email that said "AP is complete case is being reviewed by consular officer for issuance"... Visa came in about 2-3 days after that...

I'd say it's better to hear what you heard than "AP is difficult to predict"..... but not as good as case is complete....

i guess i had the same sequence , AP , Then consular review , i know my interview went well and i know officer didnt lie , my interview was 5 minutes

she asked us 3 questions

how did u know her? i answered and my wife answered .

she joked with my wife and said u know arabic since u stayed in egypt for more than 9 months .

then she said what do you like about her ?

and she was asking my wife what field of study she is studing in college , hahaha , she was joking with my wife and she said great , when re you leaving back to the states , we said end of june , she said ohh , you will ofcourse get ur visa before this , i wanted to show her pics or boarding passes , she said no i will approve it it will be sent to u in two weeks but sorry it might take longer because few of our colleges left and we are working with minimum staff ,

my experience there was excellent.

so i chose to take it as good news , and i see no red flags in our case , I'm 30 , she is 25 ys old , i met all her family , i get enough money , i can easily go anywhere in europe , and she lived with me for almost 9 months last year and 4 month this year until now . every case is different
