- for CR1 - some people says its impossible to give a visa before 2 years of marriage ?

- must they give me or send me a paper (221g) that's tell i will be under AP section ?

or they just can tell by anyway, the consulate told me that by email.

Sorry I dont have the answers but I will add yes you are in the normal timelines

Waiting times vary on a number of things it is on a personal level not a country level ........name, occupation, travels to other countries however due to the security checks Middle Eastern Muslim males administrative processing last longer. My husband was on Administrative reveiw for about a month before being put on administrative processing. Basically I think it is about the same it is called review if it can be cleared up within a couple of months. We were never given any paper or email stating this until we requested his passport.

Im not sure I understand why you had your interview but you hadnt sent in all the required papers until January.

My husband had his interview in July 08 they took his passport interviewed him and told him everything was Ok then they said they would like another picture and he could leave it anytime at the guard desk. He took the picture back the same day and we heard nothing. I called on the phone and was told the case was on the consulates desk and was on review and it could take a short time to get the visa unless it went on administrative processing which could take a very long time. I waited two weeks and heard nothing so we requested his passport and that is when we were told it was on administrative processing. We never recieved and officiall 221G and nine months later we are still waiting. Good luck I hope your case is cleared up quickly.

Im not sure I understand why you had your interview but you hadn't sent in all the required papers until January.

i have brought all the required documents to the interview - but the officer asked me for another documents like my wife divorce paper and my original Moroccan birth certificate and Israeli police clearance, so unfortunately the Israeli police clearance cost me more than 2 months to get and i still don't know what was the wrong with Israeli authority that time, i kept calling and waiting 2 months for the certificate.

- is it normal waiting times ?

Seems like average waiting time, each embassy consulate has different processing times and some take longer than others to go through.

- i heard from forums that's AP waiting time is depend on country, so how about Palestinian ?

Not sure about the AP time from Palestinians.

- for CR1 - some people says its impossible to give a visa before 2 years of marriage ?

Untrue, if your documents, name check and fingerprint checks come back cleared quickly and the embassy/consulate does not question the validity of your marriage or information from the interview they will issue the visa.

- must they give me or send me a paper (221g) that's tell i will be under AP section ?

or they just can tell by anyway, the consulate told me that by email.

Some persons never get a written paper stating 221(g) and only find out when they call DOS or the embassy to see when the visa will be issued or why it is taking so long.

with other email the consulate answered me that the AP is office processing!!

- could it be just a long administrative office review ?

AP is considered Additional Administrative Processing and that entails the verification of your information from the interview, documents check for validity, travels, job, schooling, details of the marriage as well as the name and finger print checks. Good luck on getting your AP finalized soon. I saw that you had to submit some more documents and you must give them time to review these.

~~i am looking to be satisfied with this questions~~ :bonk:

thank u all

- is it normal waiting times ? Yes - MENA, male, probably has a common name?

- i heard from forums that's AP waiting time is depend on country, so how about Palestinian ? Same answer as above

- for CR1 - some people says its impossible to give a visa before 2 years of marriage ? Never heard of that one.

- must they give me or send me a paper (221g) that's tell i will be under AP section ? No - you would get something if they are rejecting the visa application. Most embassies in MENA will almost always do AP's.

or they just can tell by anyway, the consulate told me that by email.

with other email the consulate answered me that the AP is office processing!! Probably not, you won't be informed again till they finish it.

- could it be just a long administrative office review ? Depends on what they are looking for, commonality of name, etc...

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS
