Gosh! Mga sisters. I met another 3 filipina today. I got 10 different type of shoes ( active wear to sexy dresses) still in a box and 1 big box full of clothes and few shoulder bags , slightly used and new clothes for summer, winter and fall owned by a filipina nurse ,( no kids) gave me so much to wear. She loved to go shopping. I was astonished as soon as I had it 3 hours ago. I never asked anything from her nor talked about clothes. She was the one who offered it to me. My God! She had so many clothes and shoes at her house. I remember Imelda Marcos. I dont need anymore to buy clothes for every season. She said she likes me a lot for the first time she met me. Her husband actually owned one of the radio station here and has a farm.

So far, my experience here is amazing and unbelievable. I dont have any filipina neighbors in here. I acquainted those people at the church.

Oh man, that's long. Friends I met here lived 15-30 min. drive away from our house..Most of them have jobs , in thier 40's and are US citizens. It's a luck I guess from where you live. The pinay here are very friendly and helpful to me.

The dog and cockroach stuff makes me laugh here. I envy you that you have many pinay near your place. I've been here for 18 months but I only met and talked to one pinay in my MA class. She lives 15 miles away from me . Most of my pinay friends live 1 hr to 2 hrs from us so we occasionally see them.

i can totally relate how you feel. when i got here a filipino who was single who went out with us one time kept asking me and my husband if there's anything i want to buy but can't. we were a little broke that time because of the aos fees so i know he knew we couldn't do any shopping. so he took us to a movie date, introduced us to his other pinoy friends, offered to give us his extra furniture, and bought me snow boots for christmas. he is such an angel and now we have a steady circle of pinoy friends.

we are so lucky indeed. ^_^

Yup you are right may anghel tayo heheehe. My husband overseas was glad upon hearing about it though he told me he can actually buy what I need but I am just waiting of a big "SALES" like what we "pinoys" mostly do to save money. I feel like Im in heaven up to this moment. I showed to my husband online all the clothes and he had a big :wow: ... . Perfectly fit to me.

Thanks sis. Hope you too. :star:

I met few filipinos in my area today. They were nice and 2 of them offered me a job as soon as I have my SSN. Wow! I am totally amazed by it. I am all alone here for 4 days since my husband travelled. But I get busy working in the house, fixing things and do carpentry( Thanks to my dad I learned it when I was young).

I'm getting too excited to meet few more filipinos tomorrow. Mostly they are in thier 30's-50's. I don't feel homesick .Being active in VJ site helps a lot. I found good friends in here . No exact words to express how thankful I am as one of the members of this site.

gosh thats really good they offered you a job... enjoy and take care of yourself!!! God bless
