I-134 Question

I was just assembling my I-134 when I went over the instructions once again. It says, "The sponsor must submit in duplicate evidence of income and resources, as appropriate".

Does this mean I gotta submit two copies of all the documents I'm going to attach?? I missed this earlier, so only have one original of the statement from my employer, statement from my bank, etc. Does the CO really ask for two copies?

Thanks!

I don't know what your instructions are, but I sent two originals of everything they wanted originals for to my fiancee to take to the interview. Of course there were two copies of things like tax records, etc. that were not originals. I also included an updated original of my intent to marry and copies of more recent correspondence. I did not have to send it to the embassy but only sent it to my fiancee.

Right...ok. But during the interview, did the embassy ask your fiancee for two of everything?

You keep the originals, and give the photocopies to the Consulate. Make sure whoever's going to the interview has BOTH the originals and photocopies though, because the Consulate may ask to see the originals.

Also, if you only have originals and forget to take photocopies, they'll keep the originals with them.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.
