For those who remeber me my husband and i got approved on April 13th, 2009 and today he got his passport. the interview was a breeze we were only asked general questions and one important one which was how a girl from brooklyn ended up with a guy from DR? other than that it was the generic questions such as when how we met and if we were married before or had kids.

my husband got his passport today and the only strange thing is that on the visa stamp it says IR1 and we tought we were going to get CR1 instead because we still haven't reach our 2 year anniversary. is it common that even though you are CR1 on the stamp says IR1?

Why you don´t write to them so you can find out before taking any decision about traveling and getting air ticket? If the Consulate printed it by mistake, they can reprint it and you wouldn´t have to pay anything. It was their mistake.

I am advising you because a couple of years ago they printed my gender wrong on my B1/B2 visa, and I asked to them to correct it. PM I can give you a phone number where you can call and do an inquiry about this and request to have it corrected in case there is a real mistake there.

Congratulations, very happy for you both.

Paris Heart, Thanks! Now its really your time to be approved, you had been in this visa process then Febr 2008, if I remeber right? I hope this time CSC is a lot better than VSC. When we started and appplied it was 60 days at VSC, but the waiting been a year for many of us. Have a nice weekend!

Oh yes, we originally filed Jan. 2008 then withdrew June 2008. Things at CSC is much better, glad I didn't go to VSC again this time. Glad your journey ended well. Take care and have a wonderful new journey in life!!!

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.
