Hi Everyone,

So while we're all still waiting for our I-751s to be approved, I thought it would be "fun and entertaining" to start another thread about "I-751 VJ Vocabulary". I'm sure that many of you while you are waiting and reading these VJ boards have noticed, made up, or have read about "funny words and funny phrases" for this I-751 stage of the immigration process.

Ok, I'll start by listing some examples below:

VSC = Very Slow Center (AntandD's idea)

CSC = Congratulations Service Center (Jasminelily's idea)

MSC = Miscellaneous Service Center (Jasininelily's idea)

California CRIS= "I would imagine California CRIS likes the sun and maybe likes the surf, but perhaps not. Sometimes he is forgetful, makes silly mistakes, or takes his time, but California CRIS is there eventually" (Flutter95's idea)

Vermont CRIS="The evil twin of California CRIS who hates the sun. They prefer snowstorms, and hiding in their cabin in the woods, and likes burning I-751 case files in their fireplace to use for heating. They make mistakes too, but would never ever admit to such, as they are too proud for that. 'Bah humbug', they would say to anyone who inquires about their file..." (AntandD's idea)

MCA= Mail Checkers Anonymous: Those 'obsessed' in checking mail for USCIS letters (AntandD's idea)

The Magic Ticket= aka. 'Approval letter' from the USCIS (LastSurvivor's idea)

Alien Theories= Theories from applicants as to why the USCIS delays their I-751 cases (AntandD's idea)

Unusual/Unique Evidence = Joint evidence sent for the I-751 that is personal, humourous and fun, such as photos, artwork, letters/cards, etc. (Venusfire503's idea)

Human= We're not just a case number/case file! (AntandD's idea)

Still waiting for I-751, Still waiting for Baby..= (AntandD's idea)

Feel free to add your own "I-751 VJ Vocabulary" on this message thread too!

Ant (Still waiting for I-751, Still waiting for baby...)

P.S. Oops...Sorry that I spelled the title of this message thread incorrectly. It should read "I-751: VJ I-751 Vocabulary Game", not "I-751: VJ I-751 Vocubulary Game".....

Another Great post by Ant. BTW Ant i added you as a friend, please add me back if you would like.

What about Texas Service Center and Nebraska Service Center. I know they don't do I-751 anymore i guess

they used to and might in the future so i think we can use them.

TSC= Tiring Service Center

NSC=Naive Service Center

CSC = Congratulations Service Center (Jasminelily's idea)

Correction here. I think we should change service into "speedy" because CSC is known for being fast. Alright with you guys?

But sometimes it also means "idiot", not to be an insult but some of them really are, at least the one interviewed me and hubby 2 years ago is one of the excellent examples.

:rofl: very funny stuff. Here's another:

Misinformation Line: that 1-800 number for USCIS where you actually know more about the process than the person anwering the call, that is if you're able to get a real person to talk to.

Year + waiting club: the herd of fellow VJers who had been waiting for more than a year but still haven't received a decision from USCUS

Really sorry that this term even existed, mostly thanks to the Very Slow Center.

Options for the Year + waiting club: (1) File for naturalization so they have to fish your file out of the bottom of the pond; (2) Contact Senator/Congressman/Ombudsman; (3) Continue to wait and pray, if you have the patience; (4) After our money being extorted, we all should sign a letter and ask them to set up a new rule: give me a total refund if you can't give me a decision within one year so I can use that money plus some to apply for citizenship.

Really wish someone powerful at USCIS is reading this forum.

Ok here's one i got

infopass: It's not the pass that you would think will get you information. But rather it's pass to drive to USCIS local office to waste your time and energy. Sometimes you can get lucky and

get what you need. It should be named UselessInfo Pass.

VJ = the Very Journey that we all have to take, days and nights, dawn to dust, it could be very smooth like the coffee that you drink every morning, it could be a very bumpy ride, perhaps that's why VSC is taking it very slowly, now where the heck are our 10 yr GCs? :angry:
