YES you can but the only issues is check when your med exam is good for and the police records. Certain countries have expiration on their medical exam and have to take it again and [pay additonal money or travel expences same as the Police record. My wife have PCC and have expired before the NOA2. Once u get ur NOA2, at least a month from your interview you will be good, as far as PCC- most PCC good form 30-120 days. Goodluck!

From this post, http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/inde...mp;cty=Montreal, it gives a list of doctors.

The one in Ontario is:

ONTARIO

Dr. Howard Seiden & Associates

Front‐Frederick Health Services

145 Front Street East

Toronto, ON M5A 1E3

416‐362‐5603

If I call the number do you all think they will know how long the exam is good for?

Thanks!

You can do the security check but I believe you will require your Montreal File number in order to obtain the medical, unless they have changed their procedure. You can make sure you have the long form birth certificate and your passport in order while you wait, but I believe you will need to have received information from the Consulate in Montreal in order to book the medical.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I'm not sure what a long form birth certificate is, but I'll tell him to make sure he has it.

As far as the "passport being in order" besides having a valid passport . . . what is there to do? He has a passport that is valid until June 5, 2013.

He can go ahead and do the security check? Does this need to be with fingerprints? For how long is the security check valid?

Thanks!

It's good for one year. If he has a criminal record he needs the fingerprint version, otherwise name check version will suffice.

On the medical information packet I received from the dr's in Vancouver you need a case number before you proceed with the medical. So I'd hold off on that or e-mail them to confirm. The police check I got mine through Winnipeg Police Service(but I have lived in Winnipeg since I was sixteen so I didn't need to go through RC) I just faxed in the application with a photocopy of my ID's and they processed it that way. From what I understand you would only need to be fingerprinted if you have a criminal record. But again, I could be mistaken.

I-751 file: 11/07/11

NOA1 date: 11/10/11

Biometrics: 11/30/11

Approval: 08/17/12

Hold what you got and maintain.

Like the others said, you need your case # from the consulate before you can have the medical done. When I got mine done in Toronto, you had to show the front page of your packet 3 or an appointment letter to go into the office. Also, the medical is only good for a year, so you don't want to have it done too early so you can't use it for AOS when the time comes. So definitely wait on the medical!
