Shemmy, some of my best trips to the Bahamas has been those long weekend trips. Because if you are not a beach or casino person, there isn't much to do. They have some clubs at some of the hotels, but there wasn't much in night life.

I know but he still has to take at least two days off to go anywhere....we'll see  . Maybe for our anniversary.

Shemmy...I think you should just drug 'em...that way when he wakes up he'll be in a different place & have no choice but to stay until you return!:thumbs: You want some advice on sedatives, I gotch u!

 I am ready to go somewhere :crying: I'm used to traveling two or three times a year. August seems so far.

LOL, I would debate that one with you Rox - TNT Carnival is fun - but lots of chaos and safety issues. BIM is just FUN - and just as many big events, many of the artists from TNT come over, there are huge fetes - East Coast is a wild and crazy competition - 40,000 on a hillside, with the stage at the bottom and the sea behind it - unbelievable to see and experience.

Shem, you should look at Barbados - Crop Over is in August, so so so much fun

I would like to go somewhere in May/June and need a travel partner...my friends will only go to JA. And we're all going in August.

Barbados is beautiful....one day.

I say Trinny, for the carnival..... Trinadad has the best Carnival in the Caribbean.

TNT Carnival is in February. Some are my friends are going to Caribana (sp) the week before our JA trip. But they are catching the bus and sharing rooms with 3 other females (strangers) Don't think so.

I went to Caribana before - it was fun, but it's the same time as Crop Over in Barbados - if I had to choose, I would go to Crop Over - Caribana was too spread out for me - Plus, we had no clue of where to stay - the place we stayed was fine, but it was in the middle of the Chinatown section and no one spoke English - hard to figure out where we were going, lol

Shemmy do the 4 days cruise to the Bahamas out of Orlando, Fla. You can kill two birds with one stone, visit the Bahamas, and relaxation on the open seas. Plus, you only need one other partner to share a room with, the other person can even be your daughter.

Arbua, is very nice but I didn't think it offer me any culture vibes. I felt like I was visiting Miami, except the water and sunsets were nicer.

Bermuda, was tooo expensive, a breakfast cost us $30.00 dollars. Island is very small, we crossed over it in 3 hours.

Barbados was nice.....

Sus, my experience w/the Trindad Carnival was one that I was there with someone who was local, so my experience was not one of a tourist. I don't think I would compare a Canada Carnival to a Caribbean experience. To me there is no comparison, the outfits are wild in Trindad.

That's a good idea Roxie. That's my next big trip - a cruise that stops in Jamaica for the day.

How did the award ceremony go Rox?
