Princess, where are you getting the photos done? I would take just's advice and get enough - although I know the shop in Mobay keeps them in the computer - they said just refer to the # of the pics and they can print more if you need. I would get at least 6 - I think you need 2 for the g325 - then for the medical and police - so, use your judgment - does your SO lose things? If so, just get the 4 for now, and get more when you get to that stage.

Justucia, it's your turn - use Honey's line and Whooo saaaaaaaahhhhhhhh = It will all work out. When I was with my ex, we didn't need NOA2 for the interview - Does the letter from NVC have a KIN # on it? Use that to call.

Shawn, you aren't lying with the crime - Last trip when I was in Ochi, we were in a cook shop one afternoon and suddenly bottles started flying - then when we were coming out of Margaritaville another night, more bottles, gun shots in the air, someone got licked with a machete - right in front of the club, and the drama was done, we had reached the car and were pulling out before I saw a cop = right in a tourist area, where you would think police presence would be higher. I spent my afternoon today helping a co-worker find flights for a friend of hers, cause his brother got shot in JA last night - I hear more and more of it lately.

Sus if you wanna really know how bad it is just follow up the radiojamaica.com website or jamaicagleaner.com. Not even that much birds get killed in turkey hunting season as how people are getting killed in Jamaica. Its terrible now. Its even worst than Iraq now.

Awh..that's special DaDa...you sister in law in jamaican.

Ha KK and they say god always gets the last laugh. Get this when my brother first started dating his wife I was like well she is a cute girl but why is he dating a Jamaican?? Like I didn't have a problem with her but I couldn't get it. At the time her accent was thick and she really wasn't family orientated because her family wasn't like ours you know there beliefs and what not was different. I was cordial to her but that was it and now years later look who is koo koo over coco pops for a Jamaican.. I know she is laughing her rass off at me..

My brother tells me all the time that he knew I wanted to be like him...lol

I know, Shawn - I read the gleaner and the Observer online all the time - I don't like radiojamaica, too many pop ups and spam stuff - it is really scary - things happening in places that used to be considered safe -

The crime, the corrupt police (not all, but too many), the medical care, ... are all things that stop me from considering moving there now - DJ took his son to a specialist - he has been sick with some type of infection - the doctor told him they need to cut his gums to let his teeth grow in, that's what is causing the problem  I told him go see another doctor and get a second opinion before they cut his gums, and you don't put braces on a 6 year old, you wait till they have their adult teeth.

I am in the States, but I just can't really understand why is she planning to go there to live. Montego Bay is crime plauged now. Is better she just go for her regular vacations. The little she will earn at a job will be just to buy food which is very expensive now(unless she is very well qualified). She can get her husband here and the 2 of them can work and get on with life. As soon as she lives there and the real thing sets in, she will run back to the States.

Steven told me the same thing a couple of days ago.... that if I spent a few months there, I'd be so glad to get back to America.

HE IS SO RIGHT. They are killing even babies, children are dying at a alarming rtae, food price out of reach, curruption is rampant and the lottery scam is claiming alot of lives. Violence is no confine to Kingston as before. Every corner in Jamaica is errupting in violence. May God help our loved ones. They are living in fear, cause they dont know when they will be the next victim.

Thanks kimmy, but my life has been on hold for too long.... It's things like this that gets me down, tomorrow I am going to a big award dinner where I will be receiving an award for a major milestone, But guess what I have to go alone, I can't even ask a old BF to escort me. So this is a bummer on my list tonight, I can't even get excited about what to wear. I know they will want me to give some type of speech, but I am so down, I am not even going to prepare anything.

Joel is fussing with me about this and I don't even care.

FREE EYE GLASSES FOR CHILDREN

Simply sharing. . .

In case you have a child or know of someone who does (ages 12 and

under), they can get a FREE pair of eyeglasses from

Target: Target is doing a special promotion for their optical service.

It could end any time but will definitely end no later than April 29th.

Children 12 and under can get a free pair of glasses.

They need to bring in a valid prescription for glasses from their doctor

and Target will let the child pick from about 40 different frames. They

will place their best lenses in the frames which are non-glare and

scratch resistant and normally sell for $200.00. There are no income

guidelines. Any child 12 or under is eligible.

You can find stores with optical departments at www.target.com

<http://www.target.com/> or http://www.target.com/>

<http://www.target.com/%3E> ; to confirm they are participating before

making a trip to their store.

Please pass this information on to anyone who can benefit from this

promotional offer. If you know someone with lost or broken glasses

please share this information with them ASAP, as the promotion could end

at any time. They would like families to come in as soon as they can.

Feel free to forward this information to others!

Thank you. I didn't have that link.

Of course. Looking at July 23rd or 24th through the 27th or something like that. Just talking it through right now. Want to see induction ceremony and check out some baseball legends. Write it on your calandar.

I definitely will - PM Island, she can probably add some info - Another airport you might want to look at, especially if you are going to rent a car, is White Plains (HPN). It would be about a 2 hr drive or so to Cooperstown, about 30 minutes or so to NYC - But it's small and easy to get in and out of -

Sus is right on, as always. Albany is about 1 1/2 hrs from me, but on the other side of the state for the stadiums. White Plains is closer to the stadiums, but farther from Cooperstown. Let me know when you firm up - I would love to meet up with you. Bring Dillon in your pocket too.

:ot: Does anyone have any connection to or info about the company called ACS? They are located here in the states and in Mobay....Just applied....and waiting....praying .... just wondering because it seems like through this board we have a wealth of info....

:ot2:

Oh sorry....I do have manners..... HI EVERYONE :)

As much as you love the sea, curry chicken, sunshine and a good Jamaican man, you got to think twice about living there. The recession is taking a toll on the Country and crime is way out of control. Take this advice from me.....stay where you are and just file for your husband. Not everything that glitter is gold. You don't know what you are running into. Ask any honest Jamaican and they will tell you.

Shawn I agree with you to a point but this isn't a permanent move....6 months to a year. It was a well thought out decision that didn't come easy. It is an experience that I want to have not only for me but for my children. I am well aware of the good...bad...and ugly of Jamaica.....Thanks for your concern.
