Anyone interested in making a marriage stronger may want to take a look. Words are powerful

Cool. I downloaded the movie, but I'm actually more likely to read a book than watch a movie. I'll have to get this.

So let me share a little of my story with unno...

One of the very first things we connected on was that we both lost our mothers as teenagers. He was 18, I was 19, we were both the babies of the family and both of our mothers loved us the best. We were spoiled with love all our young lives and then had that love ripped from us as we entered adulthood....

A curse and a blessing so it seems, we were made to know what truly matters in life very young and as such, we don't sweat the small stuff. Love and life are precious and we both know how much.

I have asked him to tell me about her and then sat while he talked for the better part of an hour describing a woman I admire so much. To have raised such a fine young man in such hard times with so much to deal with she had to have been a pillar of strength.

_____________________________________________________________________________

So Sunday before last, his family came with him to get me at the airport and they took me home...

Up, up into the hills and straight to the house he was born in. He took my hand and he led me back behind the house to his mother's grave. "Momma" he says.. "I brought someone I want you to meet"

I greeted her with such love in my heart and I thanked her for loving him so much.

This is the most touching moment of my life.

That he took me to HER first makes me know how much he loves me, because I know how much he loved her...

(L)

No one will ever understand what passed between us that day and no one needs to...

"Momma" is the core of us, and the core of our love for each other.

I chose to walk in faith with eyes wide open...

I chose to accept that we are both human and we will make mistakes...

I chose to believe that no matter what mistakes we make, if we both want to make it work, we will...

I just purchased the book from Amazon.com :dance: Dang I should've gotten two. One for my friend she is getting married next year.

I love being married. It's so nice coming home and sharing out day experiences with each other. Then we separate..I go upstairs and watch my reality shows and he goes downstairs..and watches...his First 48 and Speed channel. lol

Hi Wakey - I wish I lived close enough to you to come make you laugh today, but here is the next best thing. If you have a moment today check out jokeroo.com and look at some of the funniest pictures you will ever see. I always go to that site and laugh my behind off when I am feeling down.

Qunna thats good that your family is more protective then judgemental, when i told my mom she was straight up like NO! dont you know they do that to all the american girls that come there and when she seen i was serious and i told imma do what is making me happy and i cant live for what other ppl is going to think she came around now she even discuss wedding ideas, now my grandmother is a diff story she dont know anything she is a old southern women and honestly her frame of thinking is warrped  i was in the hospital for digestion problems and she came to visit me and was like i told you about these other ppl countrys they not like us im like okay grandma i went to JA 4 month ago? honestly i just let her be...

WOWWWIIIEEEEE.. granny tink dem put obeah ova her granchild newly!!!:rofl: OMG.. thats funny.. i know girl.. when my granny was alive she was off the chain too.. i really don't know how she would take Roger.. she LOVED my ex husband too.. soooo

bawaawaahahahahaha   OMG grandmas are a mess sumtimes lol obeah :alien::diablo::rofl:

I think if mi mom's mom was still around she would truly look at me as if I lost my mind but my dad's mom would be like can he dance baby? She loved men that could dance and then I would I tell her NO!!! Roc is so corny when we first met he was winding all over the place and now he just moves side to side. Nothing is better to me than a Jamaican man that can move!!! I like to go to the clubs just to watch them and here I get stuck with the one that doesn’t move. Sigh....

Congrats Roxie!!!!!

OMG DaDa!!! I can't agree with you more!! I love a Jamaican man that can dance but that's not what I was blessed with. We party alot and I can't even explain what Albert does...it's some type of back and forth motion...hahahaha...but he's happy doing it!
