I agree..u just don't have to act like u not in reality when doing though...just goota do what u wanna do at the moment if it ends sour..oh well ..u would have never known

I agree. That's a good attitude to have, JAPrincess. So many women say...that will never happen to me...my man will never do that...truthfully, we never know. Just keep your eyes open.

Shemmy the thought of your daughter going off to college has to be exciting and scary at the same time. Don't know how I will handle it when my daughter gets to that age....all I can hope for is that she goes someplace close to home.

Yeah, it's exciting and scary. First she wanted to go to college in Japan  then Cali (Berkeley). I finally got her to look into our state...so far...it's working. Hopefully she'll be 2-4 hours away.

That's not what I was saying at all, Kimmy. You are right on there. Just saying no one knows the future in anything they do. Be smart; but don't be so scared you don't try at all.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

She's actually in the 11th grade but she's been looking into colleges since the 7th. We went on tours so she can get an idea of what to expect....it was a learning experience. She now has 3 choices...sure it will change 100 times before next spring.

I'm finally motivitated. I went to see a holistic nutritionist to get some natural foods ideas and receipes.

You must share this info Shemmy. Hubby and I was talking about eating more natural food.

I know you have to feel better about that...hopefully she won't change her mind. Fingers crossed for you. Hope she has a great senior year.

missed the surgery convo nat.. wha gwaan??

I'm having all 4 wisdom teeth removed on Monday. :o

I'd requested ideas about what to eat afterwards. Based on the wonderful suggestions, I'll be eating soup, oatmeal, and protein shakes. Hopefully I'll lose all the weight I'm gaining this week from 3 different birthday dinners (and desserts).

You are coming????? How many of you are coming? Oh, I'm so excited!!!!!

Yup!! If A get's here then we will drive out so there will be the 4 of us and will make a week of the trip. But if not, I will just fly for a long weekend.

Well, if you need a place to stay, I can squeeze you into my little house. It will be tight; but we can manage. If just you, no problems whatsoever. Think about it.

I'm so excited to finally meet you.:dance::dance::dance::dance:

Bunz..wah gwaan inna jamdung

tax tax and more tax!!

bracing for a decrease in pay because they are taxing di likkle benefits mi used to get

This is just criminal what the government is doing to the average person there! I don't know how it runs there but seems there is a lot of mis-spent money and greedy people who already have fat pockets while the working people continue to get more and more taken from them. This gas tax is ridiculous but even more outrageous is taxing salt, oats, fish and soups....these are all things many live on and cook with regularly. It really seems that they are always trying to keep the small man down. :protest::ranting:

Bunz i heard about all tha..but not details..wah dem a sey?

yes it's criminal

they are widening the gct net, so stuff like books and computers, and certain basic items ppl need are now being taxed

ppl are upset (including myself) because we already have such a low literacy rate

why would u tax things which encourage learning and development?

and then on top of that they are now going to tax previously low/non-taxed benefits (rent cheque, travelling allowance, etc) but they're trying to butter it up

by saying they are increasing the tax free threshold but that's like giving a man $2,000 but taking back $20,000

very frustrating

..........and then there is the gas tax! laaaaaaaawd and you all know that's gonna have a multiplier effect

i feel like :girlwerewolf2xn:

Have they really decided to pass the taxing of books and computers?? I was reading that and feeling pretty enraged myself for the same reasons. What better way to again, keep the little guy down than by limiting access to material that would help education to only those who can afford it?? This all seriously makes me sick to my stomach! :crying:

So let me share a little of my story with unno...

One of the very first things we connected on was that we both lost our mothers as teenagers. He was 18, I was 19, we were both the babies of the family and both of our mothers loved us the best. We were spoiled with love all our young lives and then had that love ripped from us as we entered adulthood....

A curse and a blessing so it seems, we were made to know what truly matters in life very young and as such, we don't sweat the small stuff. Love and life are precious and we both know how much.

I have asked him to tell me about her and then sat while he talked for the better part of an hour describing a woman I admire so much. To have raised such a fine young man in such hard times with so much to deal with she had to have been a pillar of strength.

_____________________________________________________________________________

So Sunday before last, his family came with him to get me at the airport and they took me home...

Up, up into the hills and straight to the house he was born in. He took my hand and he led me back behind the house to his mother's grave. "Momma" he says.. "I brought someone I want you to meet"

I greeted her with such love in my heart and I thanked her for loving him so much.

This is the most touching moment of my life.

That he took me to HER first makes me know how much he loves me, because I know how much he loved her...

(L)

No one will ever understand what passed between us that day and no one needs to...

"Momma" is the core of us, and the core of our love for each other.

I chose to walk in faith with eyes wide open...

I chose to accept that we are both human and we will make mistakes...

I chose to believe that no matter what mistakes we make, if we both want to make it work, we will...

We have been reading a chapter or two of this book every day...

I keep coming back to my own gut. So many times in the past I have been in a relationship and had that "feeling" in the pit of my stomach. And that "feeling" has proven right every time.

In all my years of going to Jamaica and seeing stories on the internet about people getting used and hurt. My eyes are wide open, and I appreciate the honesty of the posters here who have also seen this despite the harshness in which the truth is told.

None of those things come into play when I hear the sincerity in his voice. When I see the love and the joy in his eyes. When I set my clock by him and know without a doubt, that he will call when he says he will.

Yes, I will truly never know him until he is here, or I am there and we live day in and day out.

BUT my gut knows... my gut knows that his love is real, and if one day his mind changes and he walks out...

Well, I pray I can be thankful for the happiness he did give me. Sometimes happiness can be hard to come by, and I take a chance on happiness today, with hope in my heart.

I wish for a lifetime of happiness and yet I give thanks for just a second.

With all the pain I have endured, I know that should this fail, I will go on, and I will find happiness again...

(F)

Well said Princess!!
