the 90 day notice might have been sent to previous address

I was just reading that VSC sends a reminder about filing for removing conditions. We moved over a year ago, so it's past the time the post office will forward our mail. We also sent the change of address to immigration, but I think I remembered reading somewhere that sending the form doesn't always update all the records. We haven't received any notice that our 90 days window is starting soon. Not a problem, since we're already preparing to send everything. My only concern is, if there was a notice sent to our old address, is there any information in the notice that might cause a problem? I would hope there is no social security number or anything in there.... but now I'm wondering.

Is there a note on the envelope to return them to USCIS? Then again, if there's a substitute mailman that day, things don't always get returned (or forwarded, for that matter).

If anyone has received one of these notices, please tell me what kind of personal information is on them, other than the name and address.

Thank you!

I heard that CSC doesn't send them, but we're going to send to VSC, which does. I just want to make sure there's no personal information in the letter (ss#, A#, whatever) that could cause problems if someone else got the letter.

Anyone?

Thanks

I got a reminder notice from CSC.

So it's not just VSC sending them.

Well, what kind of information is in the reminder notice? Any kind of personal information that we wouldn't want total strangers to have?

Thanks

Not that I recall.

It doesn't have any identifying numbers, just your name really.

Then again, I don't have it in front of me.

Only had applicants name and A#.

Don't worry about it and just send in to your SC within the time-frame.

Best of luck!

It has your A#. I have scanned my notice for you. I removed personal info.

uscisnoticecopyrighted.jpg

Thank you SO much! It's good to know there wasn't anything more in there. I don't imagine anyone can do anything with a name and A#. Most people probably have no clue what they are anyway.

Feeling more relaxed now.

I got a reminder notice from CSC.

So it's not just VSC sending them.

Now I am a bit worried. We submitted our I-751 to CSC per instructions and we received the notice/reminder to remove conditions from Vermont, does that mean our file is in Vermont? This doesn't sound good. Anyone knows?

Did you move? Maybe you used to be in the part of the country where you'd have to send to VSC, but now you're in the part that sends to CSC?

I dunno....

Good luck

Thanks for the response, venus! :star: I've lived all my life in California, we moved but within the same block/street, updated USCIS about that as well. The I-751 was for my husband.. I'm not sure what to think either. This is worrying me a bit. But I shouldn't sweat the small stuff, right? it's too early to worry I guess. Sorry for hijacking your thread by the way. If anyone has a guess, please let me know. :D

NOthing to worry about. Both my notice for removal of conditions and the biometrics notice came from VSC while my file is in CSC. I guess they just mail it out from there.
