We got the traditional package + 30 extra minutes on the grounds. We're looking into either the tux rental or that service where they take you to get your marriage license etc. Looking at ordering the cake from them as well, but we're not sure yet.

@ ScooterMac

I dont even have 260 people to invite. My family is tiny and alot of people on my dad's side are on bad terms with eachother or on bad terms with my dad, so yeah. And the two people we could invite from his side are going on vacation in December, so they probably wouldn't be able to afford it.

I'd prefer a smaller wedding anyway.

If you'd like I can find out where my husband rented his tux, it was only about $70-100. I don't remember exactly. And you can get it the same day that you rent.

JC Penney had some lovely ones on sale for only $100! He can buy one and keep it! :)

Well, I'll get him to see if he can find one he can buy to keep.

Otherwise, I'd love to get that place where he rented his tux. I hope they have things like colour change of the ties n stuff, cause I'd like him to colour coordinate haha.

Strange, they should be invited...

I dont mind if they come, but my parents just think it's really, really weird.

I was just wondering if it's normal to invite in laws of siblings.

If I was having a bigger wedding, I wouldn't mind inviting my SIL's parents. I've not met one SIL's parents, so not them. Do what you're comfortable with.

To everyone who gave advice about un-inviting the groomsman....thanks. He texted us this weekend and told us he didn't have the money to get fitted, and when we called him about it he suggested that maybe he should just be a guest. At least it didn't have to be ugly :)

My parents are trying to find a show that we can go to after the wedding.

I was looking and I only really see 3 that interest me but probably wont interest my parents.

I want to see Ka by Cirque du Soleil so SO bad, but they're like 115 a ticket.

So expensive.

Guys are bad with wedding planning details, even if they have been involved in all the planning. Spoom's mom and I have talked a few times so I could update her, because she wasn't getting much detail from him  I gotta give Spoom credit though, he's been more involved in our wedding planning than I expected - Aside from my dress, I think he's been here for all the planning stuff :)

so.... we've started looking at wedding bands finally. Since now we know we actually CAN get married. lol I'm trying not to scream in disgust at the fact that my fiance seems to want to really cheap out on wedding rings and get one for himself that's sterling silver and about $50. I'm actually kind of insulted by that. We're also having issues finding one that matches my ring. We found ONE that matches 99%.. it's really quite good, but it's twice the amount we wanted to spend (it's $500). So yeah, we're having a hard time finding something else. I'm not sure what to do. We thought about getting a new set for me or something, and getting it online, but are still having trouble finding something at reasonable cost. I'm actually getting really frustrated by this. I mean, it's our WEDDING RINGS... I'd think they'd be something kind of important. We've cheaped out on EVERYTHING with this wedding... I hate to think my wedding ring is going to be cheap as well (I already know my engagement ring is...)...

This makes me sound really pretentious and snobby, I know. But trust me when I say I'm not one of those people who has to spend big bucks. I just want something NICE... not crappy cubic zirconia and sterling silver.

I've been married before, and my thoughts have always been that the wedding rings are a lasting thing, whereas the wedding comes and goes. So I'd buy the $500 band that matches yours and tell him to get over it. Won't you be buying his ring anyway? Isn't it ultimately your decision?

I don't think $500 is that outrageous for a nice man's wedding band . . .
